Re Gibraltar
I think the Spanish are taking the 'P' here and maybe we should add into that paper that we need to discuss Catalonia and it's independence? let's see how quickly they change their minds?
Gibraltar is a strategic island and there will be no way that our government will allow it to be used as a bargaining chip. If they do then I shall be the first to turn on May.
I think this is a non-starter so don't believe Sky/BBC with their project fear stories.

Simple solution, we keep Gibraltar and give Spain Scotland...

Two things have put my blood pressure up today:

- an article in the Sunday Times saying how academics at Hull University have issued a list of gender neutral terms (like workperson for workman) that their students must use in essays etc, or risk being marked down. List runs to two pages. I feel like getting up there, finding these crypto facist cretins and shaking them very hard by the shoulders whilst screaming 'what the **** are you on?' until they recant. Meanwhile Oxford University students are trying to ban Jenny Murray from Woman's Hour from talking there, because she said that while she supports transgender people (of course!) but has said they can't claim to be 'real' women because they haven't had the full experience of growing up as a woman. Ban Jenny Murray on taste grounds by all means, but seriously.

- a programme on Radio 4 now about conspiracy theorists in the US who are claiming that the Sandy Hook school massacre never took place and was a giant government plan. They are trolling the parents and relations of kids and teachers who were murdered, calling them liars and foreign spies (this started two days after the killings). These people, presumably ******ed, evil gun toting twats, I would simply have put out of their sad, twisted, misery. Using their own guns.

After reading the 'Sky News App' this morning it has come to my attention the perils this country COULD/MAY face post Brexit.
These include:

Dover and the sorrounding area COULD/MAY come to a complete stand still due to extra customs checks

Orchestras COULD/MAY not bother to tour our country due to extra paperwork

Gibraltar COULD/MAY be given away in some deal to ease the exit from the EU

There COULD/MAY be a massive labour shortage from EU migrants meaning that major building projects COULD/MAY be delayed and possibly shelved.

Cornish Pasties, Melton Mowbray pork pies and Cumberland sausages COULD/MAY be in danger due to the current EU protection being abolished.

Scaremongering ??
We're doomed, I tell ye, DOOMED !!

Dover and the surrounding area
Surely that could/May include the European ports serving Dover
Trucks in one country held up in Dover
Trucks from every country held up in France
Who will squeak first
Can illegal immigrants climbing out of lorries in Dover be sent back on the first lorry to the unsafe eu in two year's time

Thanks for pointing out the piece on the academic fascists and their ridiculous levels of intolerance, Stan. Saved me the trouble... When I speak of pc extreme, this is a great example. With leaders like this for our universities, it's no wonder those places are hotbeds of dogmatism where thought-crimes are sought out and free speech is denied.

The ink on the Article 50 letter is barely dry and some Tory loons are already threatening war on one of our ex EU partners <doh>

The EU must have known they'd get some reactions like that when they introduced the Spanish veto on Gibraltar in their letter. The hyperbole from both sides should settle down once they climb into the boxing ring

Sky and BBC are trying to out-remoan each other. It's getting dull

Not been following the news today. If the Tories are acting too far to the right for Sky's liking then they've gone about a mile too far. This will all end in the current lot walking.

It's not right or left, it's in or out. Sky/BBC still hope that they can help create enough fear and subliminal support for the EU, that the EU has the confidence to give us a **** deal and we all say "You've made life so **** for us, EU, we think we'd like to stay a member in your club." They can dream on...

Reports of at least one explosion on the St. Petersburg metro in Russia. At least 10 people have been killed and dozens injured and the whole network closed down. Sounds grim.
