I was anticipating that some Brexit fanatic would draw attention to the latest IMF forecast but I thought it would more likely be Goldie or Col. I would say it's good news (it actually is) but we know by now that the IMF is a rabid left wing organisation, bent on discrediting Brexit, whose word is not to be trusted on any topic.
I’m just pointing out that there are those on here like yourself who would usually jump on anything bad that they can see reported in the economy as caused by “Brexit”, while generally ignoring anything even remotely positive.
I’m hardly a Brexit fanatic, Strolls…..I just don’t think the EU is the workers friend like some on here seem to believe. Hopefully under your lot there can be some genuine change in favour of working people instead of big business….but I’m not gonna hold my breath.

The mega-lunatic fringe of the lunatic party now has her as their queen and she’ll only embolden them further if replaced by what is perceived to be a less lunatic Home Sec. She’s not particularly popular and clearly just a bit of a **** person and not very good at the job but she’s relatively popular with the Tory base and members which is all that really matters.
Doubt Sunak is arsed anyway. He’s probably looking forward to a cosy job or retiring with his billions in a year once he’s transferred another £100m or so to his wife.

Mass immigration is a cheap, lazy way to solve a problem. It does not make the UK more productive but it does add to pressure on housing and infrastructure. We need better training for our own people to get them into work but we don't need foreign workers

What the Norwich manager said isn’t particularly nice or helpful to his club but he’s not been rude or said anything wrong.
However they deserve good facilities if they’re representing professional clubs spending obscene amounts on their male teams even if the female game isn’t generating much revenue still. If people want to enjoy women’s football more than I ever will then good for them.

Our government, which is preparing to fight an election on culture wars, and is allegedly against cancelling of speakers whose views might upset listeners, has a policy that anyone who has criticised it, or one of its ministers, in any format (speech, social media etc), at any time in the past and for whatever reason, is barred from speaking at government sponsored/supported events. No matter how expert and renowned they are and how irrelevant the opinion is to the subject of the event.
Therefore, Dan Kaszeta, a world leading specialist in nerve agents, has had his invitation to talk at the Chemical Weapons Demilitarisation Conference, where he was due to talk about technical details such as which drill bits are best to deactivate buried weapons, rescinded. Because he has criticised government policy on asylum and homelessness and mocked Boris Johnson and Liz Truss onTwitter.
Actual Chinese government representatives, who are presumably communists, have not had their invitations to the conference withdrawn.
This is one of Jacob Rees Mogg’s rules, making sure the Cabinet Office spends its time doing urgent work background checking all potential speakers at government events in case they harbour mainstream criticisms of the government. What a ****. And all the ones who haven’t revoked this rule are ****s too. Oops, that’s me barred…..nothing sinister about this at all, move on.
