See that’s where we differ……I think you have to have be talking about 2 different types of attack…..one verbally and made through the correct means, which I think should be ok without question…and one physically (direct action). Now I’ve been involved in direct action in my past, both Left and Right….people were attacked, meetings opposed, violence took place……it had a means to an end. However I couldn’t ever say it was ok for us to do it and not them (the other side). It’s either ok for that kind of stuff and we all get on with it….or alternatively it should be condemned by all sides.
You quite simply can’t have both.

The thing is…..it’s obvious Bracknell wouldn’t really want her shot in front of her kids…..it’s just a comedy/shock thing.
I would just be very careful what I’d say on open forums like this…..just my personal opinion of course

I don’t want Farage dead by any means- he presumably has kids or someone innocent who loves him. I’d laugh my head off if someone had a proper pop at him for his so-called politics. He’s been the cause of so many innocent people being verbally and physically attacked. **** him (again, just one man’s opinion).

So to avoid being hypocritical, you wouldn’t/shouldn’t be be bleating on when ****wits like the mob last night confronted Starmer.
They were and are total knobheads, that’s without a doubt…however it’s impossible to applaud one side and condemn the other….that’s just plain hypocrisy.

I’m not applauding it. I just see the ‘crime’ of an attack (verbal or otherwise) on someone honourable like Starmzy isn’t equivalent.

I think you're right, Stainsey. The question is, do we have the same standards, high or low, of other social media, or do we just call this forum the Wild West where you use whatever hate speech you like? If suggesting a mother should be shot in front of her kids is ok, there's pretty much carte blanche to say whatever you like. I have to say I'm not comfortable with that. I think Diane Abbott is a waste of space but I wouldn't suggest she should be shot in front of her son.

Sorry……doesn’t work like that and it’s not for you or me to decide who deserves to be attacked. Once you’re on the slippery slope where direct action is acceptable….all are legitimate targets

She may be a waste of space but I don’t think there’s an argument for her being evil. JHB spews bile which causes real problems for innocent people..

Not disagreeing with you…….but I’m a bit libertarian in thinking that if it’s obviously said in jest, which it quite obviously was, then for me it ain’t a problem. However I think it wise for any individual not to put it in writing on an open forum……because these things get taken out of context.
