Here’s an idea. Let’s invite all the fans of Julia Hartley Brewer and all the fans of, say, James O’Brien, together with their two heroes and whoever their heroes think are good, to go into a large but enclosed space and have a sensible debate about things until they find the stuff they can agree on. Just to encourage them we’ll lock the door, and the rest of us can get on with stuff.
