Im still waiting for any of these petitions to have any effect. Pretty sure there were numerous petitions in Bristol that were flat out ignored.
I signed it. I detest the man. Not because of his internal politics (although we can always discuss his many failings) but because he lied to the House with false sexed up information, took the country into an unnecessary war. Moreover… sending our troops in ill-equipped. Whatever we say about past and present PM’s what he did was despicable.
They won’t have any effect. Frankly they shouldn’t, but I guess it makes some people feel better.
As much as I detest Blair, having been a PM that won 3 elections, he’s no less deserving of a knighthood than other divisive premiers of the past.
