I honestly dont think people give a flying **** about the investigation and know its just a stalling tactic. I meet many people throughout the day and week and im yet to meet one who believes a word Johnson says. Hes the architect of his own downfall. It will take someone with big bollox to stop being a nodding ****ing puppet and regain control of the party.
You keep meeting a lot of people Bob. The few that I see couldn't give a toss.

Parties
Flat decorating
Barnard Castle
Jennifer Acuri
Paterson
COVID Contracts
Hancock office shagger
Test and Trace
Peppa Pig

60% of the electorate say the Tories are sleazy and disreputable. Starmer ahead of Johnson in personal ratings.

All of this in the face of real, huge, challenges in health, the economy, international relations, crime and security.

Something’s going to give.

Hes taking us back decades

Says quite a bit about them then hey. Honesty, integrity, morals, values. I suppose some have them and some dont
I do listen to what people say. But Unlike you (don't take it personally) I seem to get a mixed bag. Some say Boris is a dick. Labour people won't vote for Starmer and Tories who don't give a toss.
It's okay the left -wing media flooding the airwaves with anti-Boris stuff but when it comes to it they won't be voting for 'Mr Dull'. Labour would be better off getting rid of Captain Hindsight and putting in someone else.

Its about time they played the Tories at their own game. All Starmer needs to do now is come up with some meaningless slogans, a boat load of false promises, a manifesto worth **** and a pack of lies. That should turn even a Tory to vote for him.

You're all scenting blood. I'm not so sure...

I think he's become a massive liability for the Tories. Perhaps the members of my family provide a somewhat representative cross-section - my wife was a Tory when I first met her (she was working for Grunwick during the infamous strike and went to work on the bus that used to drive through the strikers and demonstrators) but has been a Labour supporter since Blair, my two daughters were both pro-Brexit and voted for Johnson and my son has very similar views to me. We are now unanimous in our contempt for Johnson. Both of my daughters now regret voting for him and can't bear to listen to him, or even look at him. I can't see the Tories winning again with him in charge.

He’ll go before the next election but that won’t be for a long time.

I can't say you're wrong. But Boris has weathered stuff like Barnard Castle and Cummings before and come through on vaccination programme success and optimism in the economy compared to our EU competitors. At the end of the day, if it can be shown that he didn't know about parties because of his well known lack of attention to detail, and if other stuff goes well for him (he desperately needs an enforcer), then in my view the electorate may be assured as to competence and ignore all else. But if he gets a reputation for calamities and incompetence, like John Major, then the Tory grandees will replace him.

But he has just had a baby girl.

We ( the British public) all love babies.

I was on the picket line at Grunwick ( quite a long way from the action, there were a lot of people there) on 22 June 1977, the day of the mass picket. Exciting stuff for a 16 year old.

If they lose the Shropshire seat it will be explicitly due to corruption and Johnson’s attempts to put the fix in for his crony. Then he would be under huge pressure to go, but he is so arrogant that there might be some kind of coup rather than a resignation. It’s funny how people think the sun shines out of Sunak’s arse. He only got that job because Javid walked out of it, he’s wealth comes from his wife and his tailor is taking the piss. He’s had a great time as chancellor dishing out the dosh to all comers (rightly). Completely untested on anything else. Mind you, I can’t even remember who the Shadow Chancellor is.

Sometimes in politics it's not what you do, but what you don't do.

I’d be uneasy about anyone that uneasy about their own lack of height running the country.
