I dont think that deflection works even with the most ardent Tory anymore, maybe apart from those in denial. Even my step father says he will never vote for them again after 60 years of voting Tory. My red wall friends have seen through the charade that is Johnson aswell and want him gone. Unfortunately hes already done so much damage.

Please see Ellers's response.

Have to agree Bob
PMQS has become a bit of a joke. It's all for show with no substance. I was annoyed with the PM 2 weeks ago at his performance in the House and at the Liason committee meeting. I was really disappointed. However bob it does come back to the same argument in that the opposition are f##ing hopeless run by an unelectable leader.
My MP although not particularly liked due to his Brexit stance is a good local MP.
I didnt just mean the PM or Tories but the majority of parliment. Im sure there are some decent ones on either side of the benches but the general standard is piss poor.

He did say apart from those in denial.
The problem is chaps that although the Tories have made mistakes and yes broken promises, they are still far better than the alternative. People aren't all thick uneducated northerners shouting ‘Brexit’! They can see what the alternative is.
And for what Bob said about people giving up on Boris, I would add that I have never heard so many of my Labour mates turned off by Captain Hindsight and his merry band of droids.

There are many decent MPs from all sides. My mates Dad is a well known Labour MP and an all round decent bloke.
I would also add that PMQ’s or what people spin in the papers is not always a correct presentation of the MP. The thing about Boris on the P in lockdown is already making some people laugh it off as BS.

I do agree that despite their absolutely disastrous record and being very openly corrupt and incompetent, shouting “woke” at Labour and promising the battered wives of politics that are non-rich Tory voters that things will somehow be different after 11+ years will almost certainly be enough to win comfortably again.

It is making some laugh it off as bullshit but with his track record its well more believeable than not. Infact he didnt deny it at PMqs. People are fed up with this clown. People actually voted on his manifesto and have now seen through the bullshit. I have no doubt that the Tories will win the next election still as they have the majority control over the media. Thankfully the youth of today pay more attention to social media where the truth and facts are only a search away.

It will be very difficult for Labour to overturn such a big hammering from the last election, but I reckon it could happen if Boris continues as he is.

Of course they will win the next election... why wouldn't they? What is the alternative?

As for the media quote... It wasn't the media that shouted that the 'Tory's are scum' it was the deputy leader of HMO Angela Rayner. As if any decent person would want an uncouth idiot like her in power or the rest of that motley crew.

People have moved on from old Labour and new labour represents only a few suburbs in North London.
Agree Boris has his faults and has made many cock-ups but behind the scenes things are still working and the economy, as Goldie says will be doing very well in the near future.
As we have said before... a few voices on here are not the majority of the voters. Where I live people still love Boris (for all his faults). However he does need to be tamed and maybe a by-election defeat will be the answer.

You would be surprised Ellers. Im not Raynors biggest fan but some people, infact quite a lot like just how blunt she is. People are now getting sick of the 'Etonian' club and want real people who understand the things like the cost of living as one simple example. They are getting sick of lies, deceit and corruption. The best move for the Tories right now would to get that clown far away from politics as possible. Hes an ebarrasment to the party and the country.

I am currently doing some work for a guy high up at the environmental health. They recently had plans submitted for what they presumed was a new leisure centre in North Yorkshire. Turns out its actually just an extension on Sunaks house. **** me but i spat my brew out laughing.

The Mrs wants me to paint the living room at the weekend then we can put the house up for sale as a ' new house'
Have you installed an air source heat pump and an electric car charging point, wind turbine and solar power farm, in addition to insulation that takes up 85% of the volume of the building as well?

The Etonian club? Plenty of tories that didn't go to Eton and there are plenty of privilidge Labour MP's.
That's an old argument that doesn't wash now. As I said politics has moved on. Boris is still massively popular amongst the Tory voters... no matter how hard the left try to say otherwise.
