The garages local to here have imposed £30 limit on fuel - great, but that's gonna last me til Monday morning, then it'll be the same **** all over again. I ****in hate these cretins
I know they want to make a profit but when these clowns started filling up the extra containers the pumps should have been switched off

I take it that everyone commenting on here about lorry / HGV drivers is an expert on driving a lorry?
If we have to be experts in the subjects covered on this board before commenting it’s going to be a very quiet place. Only Col and Bob will be allowed to discuss football for a start. I assume that it’s a very difficult skill to master and then the job requires a particular psychological type as it’s long lonely hours and extremely unhealthy, sitting there for hours on end, driving a major hazard to other road users (that’s what I heard an HGV instructor describing the trucks as). That’s why I think the shortage of drivers will last a very long time, no matter how high they put the pay.
I can see how Bob might be considered an expert, but Col, really? Why would one need to be an expert on lorry-driving to comment on the lack of HGV drivers? It's just counting.
The problem with lorry driving is that everyone hates you. It cost a fortune to attain the licence and the benefits aren't worth the rewards. Every body wants their goods stocked in the shops. But once you've done this they hate you. No one like's a HGV on the motorway, the government ban you from the towns and cities in certain hours. There is no accommodation set up for lorry drivers rest periods. They have to kip in the back of their lorry in crap conditions for minimum wage. They have had their wages cut from £200 a day to £80 a day. They have to pay to rest up in service stations ( £45 - 80 ) per night. The ablutions are literally ****, where you have to wash in a hand basin. ( In France you get free parking and a shower .) The UK has got this thing going on where they hate motorist. ( Massive vote loser ) but even more they hate lorry drivers, but lorry drivers are what keep this country functioning. And like me , I've let my lorry drivers licence lapse. They can go **** themselves. Who do you know who left school wanting to be a lorry driver? The quick answer is no one.
Really? Who'd have thought? Me and Bob discussing football tactics etc on a football forum. Outrageous!! We should have realised that we should stick to discussing what poncy meal we'd had last night.
