Whether you like it or not, Yorks, the Queen is head of state. So, unjustified criticism by this grisly duo reflects on this country. Today/tomorrow will be one of the most important days off her reign. The transmission will go out worldwide. Meghan may claim racial prejudice. I'll listen to what is said, but suspect it will be the high water mark for Haz and Meg, particularly if later bullying claims are made to stick.
You will always get a few that knock the Queen but they are in the minority. Meghan has a history of being a ‘climber’ and like Diana an interview with the media will only end one way. Diana later said she regretted the interview. Kate is the one who comes across a genuine.

There’s a pattern emerging here I’m sure......

Facebook has shut down the accounts of fake Scottish independence supporters that it says were run by Iran.

In its latest operation against “co-ordinated inauthentic behaviour” by state actors, the social media giant said that it had uncovered and banned hundreds of fraudulent online personas created in the Islamic Republic.

The company said most of the activity was targeted towards Iraq, where Iran has key regional strategic and political interests, but also at Israel, Afghanistan and the UK.

Facebook did not say how many of the accounts appeared to campaign for Scottish independence. However, it provided an example of a post in which somebody purporting to be a Scottish nationalist approvingly shared a meme created by the Conservatives.

The Facebook bans came shortly after

I feel for that Nazanin Zaghari woman in Iran and hope I’m wrong but I think they are playing her/us along. I can see this court thing next week pulling another stunt. As I said, I hope I’m wrong.

She has a degree, though. That must signify a certain level of intelligence.

Didn't you let slip once that you do too?
I have 2, one being an MA but in my job I excel. I don’t claim to be a shadow Chancellor and not able to count?
Come back when you have something useful to say... which will be some time I think. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Abbott was never shadow Chancellor. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Do you know when I posted that I thought, that maybe I was wrong and I have mixed her up with Dodds. :emoticon-0148-yes:
However knocking ones achievements is a bit silly. Don’t associate yourself with Dumb and Dumber as you are better than that. Fab achievement while I had a sick parent. No one can ever take that away from me.

Seeing as this thread is now about various marital situations rather than politics: For your information:

Marina Wheeler, mother of several of the Prime Minister’s children, ill with cancer when he copped off with Carrie Symonds, has played a blinder in the divorce negotiations. Apparently she has achieved ‘one of the most devastatingly one sided (in her favour) settlements in divorce history’ according to a QC privy to the details. This includes a large percentage of Johnson’s future earnings.

Doubtless this is not as interesting to some as their rather odd obsession with a sad and pathetic celebrity/royal pairing, but as Johnson is actually prime minister and is said to be very poor in managing his personal finances, and yet is directly responsible for the country’s finances, perhaps it might be worth noting.

While I’m here, briefly, let me note my utter disgust at the government’s handling of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s hideous experience in Iran. Good news that she has had her ankle bracelet removed today and has officially finished her five year sentence, bad news that she hasn’t got her British passport back and has to go back to court to face new charges next week. This poor woman and her family have suffered incredibly for no reason other than the admittedly vicious behaviour of the Irani revolutionary guards, holding her hostage for the £450m that Britain owes them, and what appears to be a permanent state of war between the Foreign Office and the Ministry of Defence preventing this being paid. Jeremy Hunt, former Foreign Secretary, was on the wireless this morning actually being rather good on this, admitting that it was all about the money which Britain admits it owes, and having talked to both Nazanin and her husband today, urging the current government to get this sorted. The actual foreign Secretary, Raab, managed an outraged tweet as his official communication on this.

The learning is that carrying a British passport does not mean the British government will help you, even if you are a blameless victim of inter government bullshit.

**** me that’s one hell of a brilliant post. You should come here more often

Wasn't that long ago our resident idiot couldn’t work out a simple percentage.......oh the irony of calling a successful black woman ‘thick as ****’

Yes at Cambridge no less, as a black woman in the 70s a huge achievement. Her entire career has involved smashing through barriers and doing things people at the time would not consider achievable.

All that whilst being thick apparently.
