I sort of like Steve Baker as he has been pretty consistent with Brexit and Covid. I know a few of the 'usual suspects' seem to think his groups ERG and CRG are some how sinister but I wouldn't expect anything else from them. He does offer some alternitive views especially on Brexit where his early stuff was spot on. Oliver's army is here to stay!

I assume this is just a wind-up as hardly anyone is enough of a **** to actually like Steve Baker. The bloke has about as much interest in “Covid Recovery” as he does in “European Research”. It’s a very transparent front.
Yes, he was good on Brexit. I think he and his ERG colleagues are rushing things on Covid recovery and I'd back Johnson on this. Easy does it, while the vaccine rolls out.

Yes agree, his work on Brexit was superb and he received many plaudits for his microscopic analyses. He said today that he was not an expert on covid but was looking more at the economic effects. Boris has now done a top job with the roll outs and is bringing well needed confidence back into the country.

Am i correct in thinking that France and another European country have fully vaccinated more people than the UK, as we are on the first dose. I may have got this wrong so forgive my ignorance if so.

We’re behind various European countries on that metric though it’s clearly not a fair comparison as we aren’t trying to get good numbers on that. The single dose strategy still makes sense for a country absolutely swamped with infections.
I'm so glad I got an Irish passport to keep my freedom of movement and more importantly my wife's European health card. Might have to start following the Republic in the footy now!
