If ever anyone needed proof that the horseshoe theory is real, this is it. And recently, that extreme right wing fascist (not) JK Rowling dared to suggest that only women can menstruate. Cue all the insignificant little wokies working for her publisher refusing to work on her books anymore.

[The horseshoe theory - the far-left and the far-right, rather than being at opposite and opposing ends of a linear political continuum, closely resemble one another, analogous to the way that the opposite ends of a horseshoe are close together.]

It’s not really theory, more fact. That’s what makes it relatively easy for anyone involved in the far right to jump to the far left, and vice versa

This is Wikipedia's definition of a neutral country and I quote - "A neutral country is a state which is neutral towards belligerents in a specific war, or holds itself as permanently neutral in all future conflicts (including avoiding entering into military alliances such as NATO). As a type of non-combatant status, neutral nationals enjoy protection under the law of war from belligerent actions, to a greater extent than other non-combatants such as enemy civilians and prisoners of war.

Different countries interpret their neutrality differently. Some, such as Costa Rica, have demilitarised, whereas Switzerland holds to armed neutrality in which it deters aggression with a sizeable military while barring itself from foreign deployment. Not all neutral countries avoid any foreign deployment or alliances, however, as Austria, Ireland, Sweden and Finland have active U.N. peacekeeping forces and a political alliance within the E.U. The traditional Swedish policy is not to participate in military alliances, with the intention of staying neutral in the case of war".

That should give you an idea Staines of what a neutral country is.

See this is what I like about this thread.....you really do learn things.
So I’m assuming Ireland isn’t in NATO ?

I see Matt 'the app' HanCOCK doesnt follow the guidelines he drills into everyone else daily. Is it any wonder why nobody listens to or takes this government seriously. In the space of 4 months they have completely ruined the country

I wonder when the 'Russian report' will get published?

Maybe about the same time they show how government contracts are given out or when Johnson starts telling the truth. You need to get over it though Bob, exciting times .... Tim Tams

Some on here would consider me far left, but I'm really not. I'm more in the near distance really. I have to say, though, that I find that statement less than believable. Anyone of the left (far or otherwise) that can easily switch to the the other side didn't really have much conviction in the first place it seems to me, and therefore doesn't qualify.

Would you say the same of switching from far right to far left ?

Maybe we can do an exchange with Australia, they give us some Bondi beach stunners and we can give them some slags from Hull

Ricky Tomlinson was a member of the National Front, as was Matthew Collins.
Kevin Day did a whole stand up about how he was a teenage racist’

I like to think of myself as far left....but regrettably I’ve had a different past.

Im sure there are more examples

Perhaps they just became educated, what examples do you have of the opposite journey?
