Kicking off in Glasgow today, absolutely no need for this **** to happen Humza Yousaf says George Square disorder 'racist thuggery' 27 minutes ago please log in to view this image Disorder in Glasgow city centre has been condemned as "racist thuggery" by Scotland's justice secretary. Six men were arrested by police as rival protest groups gathered in the city's George Square. National Defence League supporters went to the square saying they wanted to "make and stand" and "protect the Cenotaph". Shortly afterwards activists from No Evictions Glasgow arrived for their planned demonstration. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-53086488 Reading some stuff on Twitter, the locals had drafted in support from EDL down south. So, Norway and Ireland just got elected as 2 year temporary members to the U.N. Security Council from 2021. Norway got 130 votes, Ireland 128 and Canada 108. Not bad for a small irrelevant country - as some on here would see us. Both beat Canada in the voting. Both are neutral countries and Ireland certainly has a strong record for defending human rights around the world and a strong record for advocating a two state solution to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. We have had troops stationed in Lebanon and other places in Africa on U.N. peace keeping duties for years now. Virtually the whole Arab world voted for us ahead of Canada who were seen to be very pro U.S. and pro Israel. Just a little mention that small neutral countries can gain respect around the world.
We’ve got to be creative to find new ways to funnel money from the public purse to Tory donors and spouses of MPs.
Should've checked out DelBoy, 50 tins of Radio-Active luminous paint would've got Boris noticed no problem, cushty...
Oxford was once a university with a great tradition of debating but now seems to have become a mirror of many other student union obsessed control-freaks. Peter Hitchens obviously gave no f*cks about it. Whether you agree with his sentiments or not it seems they only want to hear what they agree with coming out of his mouth, no-one is permitted free-thinking...

If ever anyone needed proof that the horseshoe theory is real, this is it. And recently, that extreme right wing fascist (not) JK Rowling dared to suggest that only women can menstruate. Cue all the insignificant little wokies working for her publisher refusing to work on her books anymore. [The horseshoe theory - the far-left and the far-right, rather than being at opposite and opposing ends of a linear political continuum, closely resemble one another, analogous to the way that the opposite ends of a horseshoe are close together.]
This is Wikipedia's definition of a neutral country and I quote - "A neutral country is a state which is neutral towards belligerents in a specific war, or holds itself as permanently neutral in all future conflicts (including avoiding entering into military alliances such as NATO). As a type of non-combatant status, neutral nationals enjoy protection under the law of war from belligerent actions, to a greater extent than other non-combatants such as enemy civilians and prisoners of war. Different countries interpret their neutrality differently. Some, such as Costa Rica, have demilitarised, whereas Switzerland holds to armed neutrality in which it deters aggression with a sizeable military while barring itself from foreign deployment. Not all neutral countries avoid any foreign deployment or alliances, however, as Austria, Ireland, Sweden and Finland have active U.N. peacekeeping forces and a political alliance within the E.U. The traditional Swedish policy is not to participate in military alliances, with the intention of staying neutral in the case of war". That should give you an idea Staines of what a neutral country is.
The two ends of the circle as my history teacher used to say, both so convinced of their ideology they brook no opposition...
