Bercow has a long history of antagonising Tories, it was Labour MPs who originally secured him the job knowing what a pain in the arse he is/was to his own party and they are happy to keep him in the role...

Was going to post a while back about why I think the general demonisation of MPs - seen on this thread and just about everywhere else - is unfair. Decided not to bother as I figured it would be a rather lonely position, but came across a review of a new Isabel Hardman book on this topic:

Agree it would be a nightmare. I have listened to their MP's of late and they really do come across as thick. Labour really are a mess of a party. At the front, you have Comrade Corbyn and the muppet show. Sitting behind them you have the idiots and behind them you have the conniving lot like Chukka. Although the Tories are crap at present they are still a million times better. However my future vote or not decides on the Brexit outcome.
