If there had been an agreed plan then I'd have got on board and backed them. That they've argued with each other from the off hardly makes it anti-Tory rhetoric.
I think we knew some time ago that this would only go one way

Your lucky I didn't mention JR :)
I also know a few lLibs and Labour bods although I knew a lot of the old lot. Corbyn and his merry muppets are not worth meeting.
You have become a right little political activist for someone who didn't know much. .)
Far from an activist Ellers. Infact I don't like politics. I just try to take on board FACTS rather than opinions. The facts are that the Tory party have goosed this process up amongst themselves!! Not Labour or lib dems etc, nor the EU, nor the remainers, (apart from the remainers within the Tories.)

I reckon we should pay Donald Trump to do our negotiating for us. I am sure we would get a better deal. :)

Good stuff you keep believing that fella.

Agree to alot of that as this seems to be the position of most "major members" from my very limited exposure - certainly in terms of "smaller members" having the same voting rights.
Agree that the UK should be treated with respect - I think you'll find that this is the case amongst the individual countries - Farage/UKIP has certainly not helped matters, you may see them as the catalyst for the leave vote, but their comportment was at the very least, equally condescending and downright rude.
Making the deal - they will make a deal, that the media reports on a wine tasting/similar event is just to put the red rag in front of you - don't rise to that picture.
You say that this is making people stick together - I'm not sure mate, for me, the worst part of all this is the obvious tribalism this has created, which is far worse than left or right politics. In fact, Britain seems from the outside to be a playing an episode of Mike Reid's Runaround!!
Think the EU are playing this now about right- from their perspective, thye know how delicate the N. Ireland quetion is to the UK, they know that this is such a big Joker card in the game and are using it.
You can call it despicable, unfair, what you will - but this was known before allowing a vote and should have been sorted out before.

I'm really surprised at just how much stick May actually gets. She didn't call for this, Cameron did.
She appointed Davis as a negotiator who turned out to be as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike - yet everyone now listens to him as if he were an Oracle.
Johnson - Makes Berlusconni look statemanlike and efficient - can say no more.
A Her Majesty's opposition who have been like mad hyenas throughout - and so obviously, also lacking in moral judgment and brain capacity - note, I use the word ALSO.
Cameron should be on a stick at the Tower for all this. Michael Foot, William Hague, IDS, Hattersley or any other past buffon you care to mention would have been just so much better than this complete **** of a man.
May is boring, unattractive, lacking in vision and certainly in motivational skills of ANY kind - but does she really deserve all this stick?
I think she's useless, don't get me wrong, but no more useless than others have been before her - maybe I'm wrong.

I just don't see what the next Brexit Comandeer will look like or can achieve - and the biggest job is bringing the country together.

Thanks for the reply Ellers, even though you're on the move.

By the way - for those of you wondering why I'm on more often than usual - it's because I can't give a **** about working right now, my best friend from Lisson Grove days has just been diagnosed at the age of 51 with Stage 4 Cancer in Pancreas, Liver, and Kidneys. The boy went to live in the States 30 years ago and has lived his life training US kids to play Soccer. Never smoked, hardly drinks and fit as a fiddle - his insurance doesn't even begin to cover what's coming to him!! Immagine living in a country like that, that you have to set up a GoFundme page to see you a bit through.

The bastard's a Liverpool fan so it can't be all bad :)

Just joking.
Sorry to hear about your mate Danish. it's my age, no age at all. 2222ing horrid disease.
I can finally reply. Sorry I get the usual 'groupies' following me around on here and didn't know where I was.
anyway
Agree with a lot of what you say and whatever happens the country will always be divided. It just took Brexit to confirm it.
I said before that I trusted May but sadly she is trying to please too many. The last lot she should be worrying about are remainers as they lost. I have found her weak of late and the "my deal or no deal" makes her sound like the EU (which is wrong).
At the end of the day this is about big business and that will win in the end. :emoticon-0148-yes:
Once again sorry to hear about your mate.

Cheers mate,
Just feels as though the country needs something, anything that it can group together against.
As you know, the Europeans are decent people in the main and want the best for the UK.
Let’s just hope for some serious dignified and honest leadership from somewhere.

Stanley Johnson, Boris's father, has suggested that the Irish border issue shouldn't be allowed to get in the way of Brexit and that the Irish should be left to shoot each other if that's what they want to do. Like father like son, a pair of utter ****s.
And he’s a Remainer Strlolls!!!
I reckon you prefer Ellers to this Count :-)

Just for the record Danish, I have no problem with Europe or the Europeans I just have a problem with those unelected mobsters in Brussels that run the EU

Could someone on here explain to me why a hard border would result in a return to violence as is claimed? That whining, whinging twat Starmer said that we don't want to end the peace process with a hard border.
Would it really be the end of the world? Woulda hard border really result in Catholics and Protestants wanting to kill each other again?
I'm not claiming this wouldn't be the case, I just need it explaining to me.
Remainers keep saying it will happen, but never say why?
Anyone?

In some instances there is a hard border Col. Goods are checked as are visitors.
This whole thing has been brought up to cause as much of a problem as they can. Do I think people would take up arms over a border control (I wouldn't think so however as it's been highlighted so much it probably would now). We live in different times from those old days. It's a shame, Ireland followed us into the EU maybe they should follow us out? I bet if we offered to give some dosh to Ireland to stop them moaning about this they would take it.

Nope, still don't get why it should lead to a return to violence.

This bloke can explain it better than me, Col.

I can totally understand them not wanting a hard border. Being able to move freely between North and South was many years in the making. I can't quite understand why this problem was not thought of right at the start to be honest. Total lack of preparation by both the government and the EU. I don't know what the solution will be. I have relatives in both northern Ireland and the republic and neither want a hard border.

People bang on about climate change and how we are going to have to change our ways to combat it. Recycle this recycle that, cut emissions, renewable energies etc etc. Let's do our part by starting fracking in Blackpool hey ffs!! 4 earthquakes there in days since it commenced. Unbelievable

Unacceptable, this thread really should be shut down. This thread isn't healthy for our board. You can debate this stuff elsewhere on this site but for some strange reason you want to continue it among our own supporters?

Why is it somehow cool to like some bloke talking about the Irish border but not actually saying anything? Should we all doff our cap because some people think "yeah he is Irish and talks a lot it must be good"? As I said Stroller he didn't actually give us the information.
