Far from an activist Ellers. Infact I don't like politics. I just try to take on board FACTS rather than opinions. The facts are that the Tory party have goosed this process up amongst themselves!! Not Labour or lib dems etc, nor the EU, nor the remainers, (apart from the remainers within the Tories.)

I reckon we should pay Donald Trump to do our negotiating for us. I am sure we would get a better deal. :)

Sorry to hear about your mate Danish. it's my age, no age at all. 2222ing horrid disease.
I can finally reply. Sorry I get the usual 'groupies' following me around on here and didn't know where I was.
    anyway
Agree with a lot of what you say and whatever happens the country will always be divided. It just took Brexit to confirm it.
I said before that I trusted May but sadly she is trying to please too many. The last lot she should be worrying about are remainers as they lost. I have found her weak of late and the "my deal or no deal" makes her sound like the EU (which is wrong).
At the end of the day this is about big business and that will win in the end. :emoticon-0148-yes:
Once again sorry to hear about your mate.

Stanley Johnson, Boris's father, has suggested that the Irish border issue shouldn't be allowed to get in the way of Brexit and that the Irish should be left to shoot each other if that's what they want to do. Like father like son, a pair of utter ****s.

    Cheers mate,
Just feels as though the country needs something, anything that it can group together against.
As you know, the Europeans are decent people in the main and want the best for the UK.
Let’s just hope for some serious dignified and honest leadership from somewhere.

Could someone on here explain to me why a hard border would result in a return to violence as is claimed? That whining, whinging twat Starmer said that we don't want to end the peace process with a hard border.
Would it really be the end of the world? Woulda hard border really result in Catholics and Protestants wanting to kill each other again?
I'm not claiming this wouldn't be the case, I just need it explaining to me.
Remainers keep saying it will happen, but never say why?
    Anyone?

In some instances there is a hard border Col. Goods are checked as are visitors.
This whole thing has been brought up to cause as much of a problem as they can. Do I think people would take up arms over a border control (I wouldn't think so however as it's been highlighted so much it probably would now). We live in different times from those old days. It's a shame, Ireland followed us into the EU maybe they should follow us out? I bet if we offered to give some dosh to Ireland to stop them moaning about this they would take it.

Nope, still don't get why it should lead to a return to violence.

I can totally understand them not wanting a hard border. Being able to move freely between North and South was many years in the making. I can't quite understand why this problem was not thought of right at the start to be honest. Total lack of preparation by both the government and the EU. I don't know what the solution will be. I have relatives in both northern Ireland and the republic and neither want a hard border.

People bang on about climate change and how we are going to have to change our ways to combat it. Recycle this recycle that, cut emissions, renewable energies etc etc. Let's do our part by starting fracking in Blackpool hey ffs!! 4 earthquakes there in days since it commenced. Unbelievable

Unacceptable, this thread really should be shut down. This thread isn't healthy for our board. You can debate this stuff elsewhere on this site but for some strange reason you want to continue it among our own supporters?

Why is it somehow cool to like some bloke talking about the Irish border but not actually saying anything? Should we all doff our cap because some people think "yeah he is Irish and talks a lot it must be good"? As I said Stroller he didn't actually give us the information.
