Should the UK remain a part of the EU or leave?

  • Stay in

  • Get out

  • Total voters

  • Poll closed .
Boris Johnson’s generalisations about the burqa are inaccurate. These women are not “letterboxes” or “bank robbers” & if he were to bother to sit down with a Muslim he’d see that under that garment there is a human being inside who despises the west & wants homosexuals dead.

As you say, a compromise is probably best all round, as I agree that the 48% should get due consideration.
I would still like us to have full, independent control, but I'm not sure it's going to be possible without a no deal outcome.
I'd like to see a Jersey type deal as a transition, eventually leading to full independence for the UK.
Not sure that's possible though.

I agree with the first and third paragraph. I actually think it is possible to get out completely but a transition would be better nor least as it gives us more time to prepare. At the moment everything the government does in terms of that preparation has to take in board two or three scenarios. It would be a damn sight easier, and not to mention cheaper, to have a known outcome we can work to.

Sadly Dan, a transition period would be an excuse to stay in and get another vote. It won't happen. People want out now, As a remainer rightly said recently, it has gone on too long. People from all sides other than the die-hard 'remoaners' want to get it concluded. That way people won't have to worry about uncertainty.

People do not want out now Ellers

We have no idea what the current feeling is in terms of any of this

You need to at least take that on board
The only facts you have is 52/48 from two years ago that went in favour for you

Since then the will of the people who none of us knew what we voted for hasn’t executed anything

That's fair enough - and if I wasn't working on it I would probably agree. And to make it clear I'm hardly Olly Robbins - I'm a middle manager working on one bit of it but a no deal would be a nightmare for our sector and I have no idea how we'd manage it. So I'm being selfish - but in a slightly different way :-)

Anyway Brexit can go do one for a day. Both our clubs have their first home games of the season today so let's worry about what's really important. Have a great weekend everyone!

Didn't you realise that the clock stopped two years ago and that Ellers is 'the people'. Understand that and his posts make perfect sense.

Sadly the result was 2 years ago and they still have not sorted out what over 17M people voted for which was "leave". Get over it and stop hoping for your second referendum as it ain't happening.

Listen Lord haw haw it was a simple question stay or leave and more people voted to leave. We will be leaving this shocking Union. Get over it.

The clock did stop 2 years ago in terms of the only data we have regarding the vote

I understand from then it’s seems people are forming their opinions and I am certain some are changing theirs so to say the people want this or the people want that is nothing but fluff and needs checking on here imo

Some of the posts by Brexiteers need balance imo. There is factual evidence for the remain voters that have become true

Brexiteers certainly on here have no plan to issue or publish. There is just wild hope imo

I keep getting accused of wanting a second referendum. I haven't. I won't. It's democracy and we take the consequences whatever they may be. Do you get it now?

I am glad you do because there seem to be some that cannot take a democratic result and will try everything to overturn the will of the people. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Some do but I believe the vast majority of those who voted to remain are like me. That does not mean that we simply have to roll over and simply agree with the stupid self -promoting shenanigans that various politicians, all Brexiteers, keep coming up. It also means that as I appreciate and respect our system of parliamentary democracy, I believe that the final deal should be for Parliament to decide and not an unholy alliance of assorted Tory nutters and a bunch of religious bigots in Northern Ireland.

The Moggmeister just made the Sky presenter look like a little boy.

Presenter asks question about comments he said about a second referendum in 2011
Moggmeister Answers You have taken it out of context. I said this... Play the tape for your millions of viewers.
Presenter "oh we will move on let me ask you this"
Moggmeister Answers
Presenter Oh let's move on... another question
Moggmeister I will answer question in two parts the first part...
Presenter But that is not what I asked you?
Moggmeister If you had let me finish I said it was in 2 parts here is the second.
Presenter oh oh, well erm. Thank you
Moggmeister It has been a pleasure, anytime
<laugh>
The Mogg for leader!
