I agree with the first and third paragraph. I actually think it is possible to get out completely but a transition would be better nor least as it gives us more time to prepare. At the moment everything the government does in terms of that preparation has to take in board two or three scenarios. It would be a damn sight easier, and not to mention cheaper, to have a known outcome we can work to.
Sadly Dan, a transition period would be an excuse to stay in and get another vote. It won't happen. People want out now, As a remainer rightly said recently, it has gone on too long. People from all sides other than the die-hard 'remoaners' want to get it concluded. That way people won't have to worry about uncertainty.

That's fair enough - and if I wasn't working on it I would probably agree. And to make it clear I'm hardly Olly Robbins - I'm a middle manager working on one bit of it but a no deal would be a nightmare for our sector and I have no idea how we'd manage it. So I'm being selfish - but in a slightly different way

Didn't you realise that the clock stopped two years ago and that Ellers is 'the people'. Understand that and his posts make perfect sense.
Sadly the result was 2 years ago and they still have not sorted out what over 17M people voted for which was "leave". Get over it and stop hoping for your second referendum as it ain't happening.

Some do but I believe the vast majority of those who voted to remain are like me. That does not mean that we simply have to roll over and simply agree with the stupid self -promoting shenanigans that various politicians, all Brexiteers, keep coming up.
