The sneck lifter is a bit of metal that lifts the sneck. It leads to a beer so i suppose I have to concede that sensible is correct (1st time this year?) it is a sneeky beer.
No it's northern rubbish passing for real ale but I knew there was one called that. You'll have to make do with proper scrumpy like the rest of us.........or a glass of red or white.
I appreciate it is a school night but if anyone would like to join me for a sneck lifter (and I am amazed it is a real beer , or was that the power of photoshop?) , I have just opened a bottle of champers. Today I resigned from the RN, so in 12 months (max) I will be a civilian-a very liberating act!
Big decision lyndy, congratulations.....hope you'd planned it this way.....so how many years service will you have done by then......I'll have a lager if I may......and a bag of crisps as well thanks....if sensible can see his way clear to releasing just one packet.....you'd think he was paying for them.
Thanks both, more or less planned this way -could have done another 3 years if I had wanted to but it will be 35.5 years if I serve the full 12 months notice period so I can hardly be accused of baling out early! start looking for a proper job in the autumn and see what turns up....there may be a vacant football club manager position by then lol.
I gave notice when I left and to be honest it made me feel great. Big step after all those years but with your record you know you will be fine.

I bought some raffle tickets off my daughter recently to support her in a charity thing she is doing. It was in the Erold on Monday and it really is a worthy cause for a sad event. She contacted me on Tuesday to tell me I'd won a prize. A bleddy signed photo of a Jordan Henderson............(the person they are remembering was an avid Liverpool fan hence the prize). Of all the bleddy things I could have won it had to be that one. I told her to stick it on ebay and I would pay somebody to take it if necessary. Bleddy kids......she could have fixed me a proper prize.

Quite grumpy, two numbers off winning he 50/50, no joy on the lottery and Sheridan being a twat. only good news is No1 son back from UNI tomorrow- but as much as I i look forward to him, it will cost me a fortune lol
Got news for you lyndhurst. My baby is 36 and they still cost me a fortune. Kids never leave your wallet. I grumbled a bit at something recently regarding money and it being spent on my behalf and my Mrs said "why are you saving it, it's not as if you need it or to buy anything with it" She reckons I'm too old now to bother about rainy days as most of them have passed already. Charming ain't it. She is right though, there isn't a lot of point saving and there isn't anything I really need so they may as well spend it now.
