Morning all....English breakfast and a black coffee plz....was a good lock in I finks....did remember a bad dream that Luggy was brushing up on his Janner accent again...LOL...
This site has gone down for two consecutive days now.........the only site with a problem that I use.
Evening all. Been listening to the radio and such today and what a load of bollocks it spouted. There are a lot more posts about Reid not being the man for us than I expected on both here and PASOTI. How quickly people turn and my point about the loyalty factor seems to be more than a little true. Big announcement for Fletcher and Le Keeper which was pretty much announced last night on PASOTI anyway.
Oh hiya sensible Well I don't share those sentiments, I really don't see the sense in sacking a proven manager for 2 players with no managerial experience and I'm still bloody furious at the treatment handed out to Peter Reid.
Mrs Reid.........one point in the last thirty six on offer in the league ( 3 games last season)...........whatever the reason........it couldn't continue any longer.
But that was my point Mrs Reid. Sentiment or loyalty which in football is much the same thing does not exist for Boards, Managers, Players or Supporters equally if it suits. People are saying in numbers that Peter Reid was not the man and should have been sacked even though in the same breath are applauding his loyalty and sticking with us. I think this appointment of the 2 (neither of whom have shown any solidarity) is tactical. Previous comments about Fletcher are good captain and loyal. Le Keeper much the same and gratitude for his long service and sticking with us. But,in 3 or 4 matches time when it has gone no better you watch the comments then. I learned long ago that to hold the moral high ground is to occupy a very lonely place in life.
Do you think it's about to get any better plym??? It had nothing to do with the manager and everything to do with morale and lack of funds.
You are right sensible and lack of loyalty isn't only apparent in football, it is the same in all jobs and also in every day life, sad but true.
A change can be as good as an holiday (my old mum used to say)............It might kick start something.........1pt in 36 is pretty dire.
Think you could be right there Plymborn we could set a new record for the numbers of players sent of during a match lol
I did one of those "I'm going to speak out" things some years ago following my colleagues bleating on about the unfairness of something. Won't go into details of the what but at the next opportunity stood up and spoke up telling "The Management" that it was not right and we were not happy. Turned to face my colleagues to find them looking everywhere but at me or the bosses. At the next promotion interview I got the job and partly it was because I had the balls to speak out so it did me no harm. But, I vowed from that day that I would only speak for myself and not for anyone else. If I didn't have a problem but somebody else did then the only response they got from me was you know where their office is go tell them as I'm not interested. As you say lack of loyalty etc is in all walks of life but it is particularly lacking in football even above all other sports.
Sensible I could bore you to death with tales of disloyalty both inside and outside the workplace but I wouldn't know where to start and you'd soon be asleep.
Think you get that everywhere could have lost my job with the stunt someone once pulled but luckily for me even though a colleague was threatened with "you'll back me up if you know whats good for you" they spoke up and told the truth.
Lets see how "vocal the locals" are on Saturday. I've heard about loads of "protests" previously that I've seen little sign of on the day. I just hope a lot of locals turn up if other club's fans are going to make an effort. I don't think the club s a laughing stock throughout the Country but I do think those supposedly in charge are. I would hate to think the club and us the supporters are added to that because it is shown we cannot be bothered.
Mr Ridsdale was in here earlier mouldy hanging around the cloakroom. Can't stand the sight of that outfit any longer so am off to a darkened room.
