    Morning all.

suddenly the air seems a little fresher around home park. could a new preferred bidder be about to take the stage. a pint of betty stoggs to celebrate please. town had a good win last night. 3-0 up at halftime away to 4th placed championship team derby county, narrowly winning 3-2 away

Walton did ok but is still prone to the odd bit of petulence at times. He was encouraging the youngsters a lot and especially just after they scored. That was good to see but isn't it strange that at his age he is considered one of the experienced old heads in the side. To be fair to all of them,Walton included, some of the passes went astray at times but that is surely to be expected. Even Barca don't get it right all the time do they. Hot lips at No.20 is one who likes to spray it about a bit and sometimes it doesn't come off. Bit underhit more than overhit and his choice of pass in his own half needs working on but he is not afraid to try which for me is the main thing. I hope they keep this game plan up mexijan and you can judge for yourself. In the bad old days the side would have started to lump it up front but they really did play the floor game for the whole 90 minutes. They don't have a Giraffe to aim at now so there is less incentive to switch to that sort of play. They never particularly looked like scoring though so it is that area that needs somebody to click in. Perhaps if they can get a win and a couple of goals that will change. I did not hear one negative word whilst making my way out or on the path outside down to the Barn Park entrance where most seemed to be heading.

Good to hear that from Walton he could and really needs to be a big player for us this season. 20 would be Hourihane I guess he was considered to be ´one the future´ a couple of seasons ago and lost his way a bit, hopefully will get it back on track with us. One thing I noticed from the stats was we picked up a fair few yellows last night... finicky ref or deserved? Squad size and depth we can´t afford too many suspensions and have to keep fingers crossed on injury front too.

Millwalls foul count was higher than ours.........but only one card.......ironically from an ex-Plymouth man.

Reid put trust in Walton to be captain last night, good to hear he was chivvying along the younger players after they scored, maybe he needs a bit of responsibility to keep him on the straight and narrow.

I thought the Ref was a bit quick to get a card out. One booking was spot on for us but others were a little harsh in my opinion. A little petulence from a couple led to the bookings but in my view the Ref ought to have had a strong word rather than booking and should realise he was dealing with a very young side. Commonsense did not prevail. He was not so quick to raise a card for Millwall players but it was not down to him or his decisions why we lost so no blame there. You want a Ref to exercise a little commonsense along with the players is all I'm asking. These were kids trying to play a side from two leagues higher, impress their boss and the supporters. Reaction is disappointment sometimes rather than throwing toys out of prams and it should be down to the Ref to steer them in the right direction rather than subdue their spirit and just exercise power. If you know what I mean.....

Thought it might be that Sensible we saw last season that sometimes. especially with the youngsters. it can be a case of trying too hard. So what your saying is all you want is a consistent referee who shows common sense, an ability to read the situation and show discretion in their decision making...All I want is a time machine made from unicorn horn, mermaid skin and fairy dust and I probably got a better chance of getting it!!!

Good to hear there was a good crowd there last night and they got behind the lads by all accounts.

I know it's asking a lot mexijan but yes is the answer. What you can't hear up in the heights is what the player is saying or has said so perhaps my comments are a bit injust but it was simply the impression I got. What you do is call the Captain over, have a strong word in his ear and let him do the rest if he can. If he can't then teach them they can't argue all the time with a booking and let the Captain have another go at them. Given one other booking we had, he could have booked one of theirs for a very very similar offence a little while after but chose not to. That is the inconsistency we all see these days for both teams at times. It is just so frustrating to see a player booked for caring and especially when he is a kid still. How many times in life do people throw their arms in the air and shout "**** off" when they feel agreived. It is sort of an automatic thing even if it is a bit flawed wisdom wise. If we don't do it openly and actually say the words we think it in our heads.

Not sure about life but on average 26.5 times a day working here!!!! That was much higher when I was in China though <laugh>

I think it actually works against the younger players the older known players can get away with more. Just hoping are run of luck with refs isn´t going to carry on from last season!!!

Quiet tonight is everyone out looting or something?

Ladies and gentlemen will you all calm down. The time to get angry and even is when the thing has gone tits up and not to waste energy getting upset before any event. There is nothing anyone can do right now about any of it except Heaney and the Admin man and the FL. Everyone else is a spectator. Have a stiff one by all means Mrs Reid but chill out when you do. Without anything to base an opinion on, I believe that all will be well and no that isn't the same as watching Rome burn whilst fiddling so to speak. Even the most unlucky punter picks a winner sometimes and my luck has been **** for the last few years so this is my once in a while winner. I believe that even if this deal goes bad then there is a plan B and it will be allowed. I simply refuse to believe otherwise no matter how squeaky bummed the headlines get.

We shall fight them on the beaches.....................

I'm just fed up with all the negativity and **** that is flying around. Like I said, I have nothing to base any of my gut feelings on. We, that is Argyle and the supporters have had nothing but bad luck for so long now that it just has to change by pure laws of averages. The football has started and we kicked off along with everyone else which not so long ago was a bit of a long shot happening. I just want to go to football and concentrate on Argyle doing well for a change.

Thanks for the stiff one for me as well matron.
