Thing is he will add a few more to his record before his career is over. He seemed to get stuck for a while on 49 but now that is over will probably fill his boots. He's only 30 so he has time. I don't suppose he gives a monkeys whether we poor mortals like him or not. For somebody as thickish as he is he has banked more pennies than any of us will ever see unless we win the Euro millions. Kind of makes popularity a poor second best doesn't it from his mansion.

Been watching the Labour Party election for leadership over the weekend and it really is funny. I can't believe they have elected Tom and Jerry as their leader and deputy. Just don't believe either of these two are electable as PM and deputy and would probaly have put that party back 50 years. Cartoon slapstick characters seems fitting for those two.

It's like lemmings isn't it or Turkeys at Christmas. I think Tom and Jerry is totally apt and it will be fun watching them for the next few months at least. After that a bit of pity might set in.

It might get a few more Scots voting Labour and help deflate the Nationalist party up there.

Bartender a double of your best please because I am seriously pissed off .... why does one of the other sites always bring us into their petty squabble regarding the other site ...... I think its ironic that they are both sides of the same coin but I doubt they would ever see it :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

It's a dying forum anyway Mrs J so just indulge. It makes me laugh with these forums trying to outbrag the other when neither is doing much business despite the claims. We have a few posters and are happy with that. We don't try to claim we are cutting edge or front runners on the up. These other forums only have a few select posters and the vast majority of their supposed membership don't bother to say a thing. They spend their time worrying about "the other place" whichever one is having today's pop and are like a pair of jealous siblings vying for mummies lap. They also spend their time singing from their own hymn sheet not allowing much in the way of any discussion anyway. Pathetic if you ask me. I only get a mention because they miss me so much which is even more pathetic.

    Have another double on me.

Worth a round of drinks anytime in my book so set em up bar person. Just read that Steve Evans has been given the hook by Rotherham. Deep joy and couldn't happen to a nicer person.

I have just wasted a part of my life watching paint dry or at least the equivalent of it. Otherwise known as an England International. What a boring game that was. We seem to get the right results these days but watching is quite painful. I need a very large drink after that one so set them up bar person and one for anyone else who comes in.

At least it isn't far to travel for an early exit Joe. If they flop badly again then they should be made to walk and swim the Channel. I'm not complaining about the results because you're right, they are the right way and we would be happy if it was Argyle. The games are dire though and I wouldn't want to pay to watch any of them.

Walking through the tunnel to England is being done regularly these days.....they would appreciate sneaking back in without being seen if they get dumped out early.....they could hire someone in Calais to help them do that.

Yep well some of them would fit in with the tunnel walkers! Bet there are some good players in the Calais camps!!

We dont do well at the tournaments but do well in the Qualifying.. Nerves? Injuries after a long season? but its the same for all the others.. Northern Ireland are going, looks like Wales and possibly R O ireland.. poor old Scotland :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0121-angry

Been busy today with workmen around the house and cleaning up after them. Looked into football scores but it hasn't seemed much like a Saturday with Argyle not playing. One result that stood out was the Cambridge v Pompey one. How many penalties for and sendings off against have Portsmouth had this season so far? It seems like every game it's one or the other or both for them. Think I will keep an eye on that for a bit and see if there is a hint of favouritism going on.

Just sat through most of tonights England offering. I didn't think it could be worse viewing than the last match but oh boy how wrong could I be. Terrible viewing is all I can say and I need a whole bottle of Navy Neaters after that. Something to take the pain away you understand.

Quick bar person I need a double........

I just logged into the Beeb football site and saw a headline "Sensible deal may not be possible" . This is apparently a statement by the potential purchaser of Northampton. I don't want to buy Northampton, I've never even been there. They can't make me can they?
