I will drink to the future of PAFC.

I will also raise my glass to Carl Fletcher and wish him well for the future,a likeable enough man.....who was handed what became a poisoned chalice.

Given the chance at an early age to become a manager....accepted the challenge and eventually found the challenge a mile too far.

Who would have always wondered if he had refused the challenge what might of been.

I at the time believed that he was given the permanent role of manager to hastily....having proved nothing as temporay manager after Peter Reid's sacking.

James Brent stood by him allowing far more leeway for him to prove if he could succeed or not.

Maybe Brent let him down by not surrounding him with experienced help....coaches etc.

Now that he is gone I find the bile coming out of some websites unacceptable.....just thank him for the effort that he put in.......and he did put his heart and soul into the job and he was found lacking in certain areas.........maybe if his first managerial job had been non-league it might of been different.

The Argyle job plus administration require an experienced older head to knuckle down using sound proven methods.........maybe James Brent should take some of the blame for allowing him to do the job in the first place......but definately for allowing it to be so prolonged.

Agre Plym, yes i was one wanting him gone.. But the abuse he is getting on other sites is foul? un called for. He gave an interview live and was very upset and maybe in different circumstances and more experienced help.. just a maybe.
That is why this site is far above the rest.. hope some of the morons don't move over here lol.. Gat will sort them out!!!

Brent has to accept the blame or the president as some say he pulls the strings?
    Your drinking early Plym?

I'll tell you a secret joe........good grief I'm sounding like Max Bygraves.........I have only had one alcholic drink over Christmas....and that was a small glass of sparkling wine around my daughters with my Christmas dinner.

I generally meet an ex-work colleague every Friday lunchtime for a meal and a drink or two at the Sovereign of the Seas a Wetherspoon pub locally, so I generally drink less at Christmas and the New Year,........not a lot of people know that.....boom boom.

Good man, i tend not to have to much these days. few reasons. Mainly the little one is never great and may be needed in the night. Also with the job alot driving in morning so the morning after the night after is not good. Also feel better for not drinking.. strange?

"Clean Sheet" and Argyle don't appear in one sentence very often do they. What a bleddy depressing week. The only cheerful note is that Christmas and New Year are over once again.

Any bottle or anything and give me a straw please. The only mid boggling thing left to think about today is why plymborn would be sitting next to his computer with a box of Kleenex..........on that thought I'll leave you.
