Just the striker we need, have a watch of this lads...

Look at all the different goals he scores, headers from crosses, he can strike a ball and he gets in positions for the tap ins aswell as taking a decent penalty. Would be the ideal partner for Gyan we need a big man but someone who can play with the ball on the deck and if that is not working go the aerial route. Just as effective with a partner or as the lone striker with someone playing off him. Pavyluchenko fits the bill and will most likely be available.

sign him up Brucie

Pav over-rated, over-priced and oversea's you go.

cos no-one's gonna pay your price

He has plenty of PL experience and the ability to hit the back of the net. He's the type of forward that could well strike up a decent partnership with Gyan, so yes, I would be happy to have him at our club.

Not suggesting that he is a bad player, but for the fee and salary he would command, seems like an expensive gamble to me.

plus i'm not into the whole thing of building around Gyan, maybe he needs to adapt.

not sure how it would be a gamble the lad has proved he can score goals in this league

i know this doesnt say a lot, but

Pav

total league games 305 goals 140 (most for Spartak Moscow)

Bent

total league games 324 goals 139 (most for Ipswich)

I would take Pav, but it would have to be for a reasonable price. He's younger, and I feel more skilful than Crouchy, and it would be interesting to see what he would be like if he played week in week out. I do remember though reading an interview with the man of the sagged face once and he was asked why pav didn't play that much and I'm sure Harry said he didn't train hard enough, or words to that affect. Still like has already been mentioned anything up to 8 mil would be a decent price for a talented international.

Thats a canny record and to be fair the lad has never realy been a regular at Spurs he has always been in and out the side, if he was at a club in the league as part of the main front 2 or the lone striker I think he would get 15-18+ goals a season

Staggering record.

I wonder, he's never been first choice as a given at Spurs, looking at those figures, and the fact he's scored goals internationally and in Europe, maybe he may be a 20 a season man as a relied on first choice.

Got me thinking them stats, the Russian League is not the Prem, but it is mega competitive and awash with (dodgy) money.

Well for spurs, Bent is just the winner

Pav
League games 73 goals 20

Bent

League games 60 goals 18

so they both didnt set the world alight at spurs really.

total games for spurs is

Pav

games 99 goals 38

Bent

games 79 goals 25

not a clue how many were as sub for each player.

Whichever way you look at it, it's a comparable record.

Seems that Pav flies under the radar a wee bit, and you can't argue with the figures.

It's a <ok> from me.

oops forgot total club games/goals

Pav

games 381/goals 180

Bent

games 378/goals 164

and Bent is 2 years younger, Pav is 29 now.

Not a bad replacement though, and as for not a 20 goal a season man, Bent has only had 2 seasons where he has hit 20 league goals or more since 2001, mind you pav has only had 2 as well lol total goals per season is 3 for bent and 5 for pav (20 or over including cup and Europe)

29 is an ok age, and Pav is certainly better in the air than Bent.

Pav is also a left footer, adding balance, potentially.

And Pav can score goals from range, outta nothing.

Bent is unquestionably a better 'fox in the box', or 'dirty bastard in the gaffers daughter', as they call it in certain parts...

good stats lads

think he will cost more than 8million thought and think he is worth more than that IMO

players value's are going up all the time, its getting ridiculous 35m for Carrol, Benty 18-24m 18months after 10-16m.

I would imagine Spurs would want around 12m for Pav and 2bh I think he is worth that
