14th July update;
Players in / out at other League One Clubs

Wycombe Wanderers ... 1 new signing

Another midfielder coming in on trial Monday. Defensive one.

If I represented the Club I would be getting pretty defensive by now concerning the quality of players we are being linked with.
Is any attempt made anymore to sign players from other actual Clubs?
Rather than waiting for out-of-work journeymen and hobos to wander into the Valley looking for a job?

Four more players of better quality than those Charlton are selling/releasing are not just going to fall into Lee Bowyer's lap.

The Stork isn't going to bring them.

He isn't going to pull open his shower curtain to find four great quality players squeezed inside his shower cubicle who tell him "It's alright Lee, the last four years have just been a dream."

@lardiman this is where we are as a Club. The budget that Bowyer has been given is very small. There is no money for a transfer fee. Bowyer is working with both hands tied behind his back. I still expect two of our better players to leave for fees, to be replaced by frees and loans. Welcome to Charlton 2018. Never mind the Aussies are on their way on their white charger.<party>

Disheartening though, that Bowyer also says Rohan Ince is three weeks behind with his training, like Darren Pratley.
Presumably means even if we sign Ince, he too may not be available for the Sunderland game.
The one thing Ince does have on his side is his age. At 25 he should be able to get himself match-fit quicker than Pratley - if the ex-Brighton player really is motivated to get his career back on track.

David Martin is coming in on loan from Millwall.

David Martin (32) has one year left on his Millwall contract.

Martin has played in 1 league game since December 2016. He was on the bench for most of last season as 2nd choice goalkeeper behind Jordan Archer. Martin has spent nearly all of his playing career at League One level, mostly with MK Dons.

David Martin was MK Dons 'keeper when they were promoted to the Championship in season 2014-15, and the following season when MK Dons were relegated back to League One.

Martin's lack of recent league game time doesn't count in his favour but he has proven himself a good player at 3rd tier level in the past.
I wonder if Martin is coming in as back-up for Dillon Phillips, or will Martin get the No. 1 shirt?
