Lardi, Out of interest, the BBC Football - Transfers page very rarely agrees with your analysis? Do you get your data from somewhere else?
Transfermarkt Here is the link to their page on Accrington Stanley (as an example) https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/acc...88/plus/0?saison_id=2018&pos=&detailpos=&w_s= They have similar individual pages for all League One teams. I have a look at them once a day (usualy at about 9pm) before posting my updates. I then base my updates on the changes on each team page from how they looked 24 hours earlier (a process now getting a bit more time-consuming for some teams whose signings are over or approaching double figures). I'm using the TM site because it gives details of the age and position of players, and more information about them can be called up quickly. Occasionally I cross-reference with Wikipedia. Do my updates appear to be wrong then? If the BBC is posting more reliable information I will switch over to using them as a source. Can you post the address of their relevant page? I'll admit I cannot guarantee my information as posted is error-free. Anybody who spots something they think is wrong please let me know, I will correct it. EDIT: By the way, the dates which I put in blue italic on my transfer list are the dates that the information appeared on the Transfermarkt website (the date that I add the entry here, if you will), NOT necessarily the date the actual transfer took place. I am assuming that Transfermarkt updates its pages pretty soon after transfers take place - next day in most cases.
Thanks or the link I was aware of that page, I wondered if there was another one I might have overlooked. I could use this source, though it would mean me manually filtering out the transfers into or out of League One teams. Also, as I mentioned earlier, the TM website gives me immediate data on the age and position of each player. I realise I don't necessarily need to include that much detail but having started to do so, I would like to stick with it until the end of this transfer window. This is the first summer that I have tried to copy and display transfer information on every Club in Charlton's league, so the process is a bit of a learning curve for me. If the differences between BBC and TM are just a matter of some transfer dates being a bit inaccurate, then personally I don't mind that too much (as long as the differences are only a day or two). But if the TM website - or the way I am reading the information on it - is causing my posted transfer data to actually be wrong in many cases maybe I should look at not using TM but switching to checking the BBC data or something from another source. EDIT: I have thought some more about this. I may well begin using the BBC page as a starting point from now on, and cross-check with TM. That might turn out to be the quickets way to gather information for my daily updates. Thank you for asking the original question
1st July update; Players in / out at other League One Clubs No players transferred into or out of any League One Clubs today.
We've signed 6 players, so far. Another two come in today. The Wigan left back, Reece James, who I know nothing about. The other guy is Dylan McGeough who was Hibernians player of the year and made the SPFL team of the year. Not bad for this level.

No problem. Unlike most threads, the information on page 1 here is updated every day (rather than being added on new posts). My new post each day is just the briefest update, inviting the reader to check back to the first page for more complete details if they wish to. Usually of course the newest, most interesting stuff (posted most recently) is on the last page of any given thread, and older posts are rarely edited or visited again. On my stats threads however the most complete information is always on the first page, so it's worth checking back to page 1 for the latest edits as well as checking the last page for the latest comments and contributions from other members. I like to keep both ends burning...

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Dawkins A Left Winger / attacking midfielder with a strike rate of roughly 1 goal in every 7 appearances, Dawkins has had an interesting career and was apparently a decent player at Derby County. However, he has not played in this country since April 2015. Before his move to the San Jose Earthquakes in early 2016 Dawkins did not play a single game for Derby in the first half of the 2015-16 season. His absence was not apparently due to injury. Dawkins was released by the San Jose Earthquakes in February of 2018. The last game he played for them was in July 2017, some seven months earlier. Again he was not absent through injury as far as I can tell. (The MLS season runs from March to October).
