Bauer. Defensively he is stronger than Konsa, especially in the air, but he's no footballer, whereas Konsa can definitely play a bit, and is young enough to improve defensively.
We would get the most money for Konsa. We desperately need to fill other areas of the squad.
Agreed. Bauer is a whole hearted L1 stopper, but little more. Always gives 100% though.
Goalkeeping coach Lee Turner has left to join Millwall. Another vacancy to be filled. I don't know much about him except that Amos improved considerably under his coaching.
He was very very highly regarded.... bad news but it seems that the Belgian is cutting anything he can so perhaps the sale is not near at all?
It’s hard to escape the conclusion that even when the takeover eventually happens, this summer will be spent playing catch up. Unless Muir is really going to splash the cash of course, although at the moment it seems he barely has enough spare change left over for the half time oranges.
Or maybe morale at the club is at an all time low, what with all the BS and uncertainty
Everton and Brighton after Konsa for £5m, that will help balance the 2017-18 books. I also guess any sell on clause would go to the Belgian.
If there is a takeover this would give some idea of their ambitions. With Roland we know that he'll trouser the lot, with the Aussies we have to hope for a repeat of the Jenkinson scenario.
Lee Turner is highly regarded and this is a blow. Amos said he was the best goalkeeping coach he had worked with.
He hasn't actually left us for Millwall… he has just left us? As Millwall have released their GK coach he is expected to join them.
Depends who knew what and when doesn't it. A nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse.
If Lee Turner knew the Millwall job was coming up before he left Charlton then he has left us for Millwall.
If he left us and then just decided a bit later (purely by conincidence) to go for the Millwall job then he did just leave.
Doesn't make much difference now I suppose, he is gone either way.
