I was disappointed that Kaikai was given the nod ahead of him. His last game before he was dropped was probably his best, although it has to be said his main contribution was defensive. For someone whose main asset was supposed to be his pace he was remarkably shy of taking on any L1 FB's, usually passing the ball back and then running away. Wasn't he Bolton's POTY? Mysterious.

Seen one seen 'em all, and they are grossly over-rated. Jordan Cousins? Bit part player at QPR. Diego Poyet? Less said the better. Ricky Holmes? Pony at The Blades. And wasn't Reeves POTY at Milton Keynes?

From a purely footballing perspective I find it a cause for some concern that we are telling Mark Marshall he can leave if he wants to, when this player was (as others have pointed out) Bradford City's POTY in the 2016-17 season.

Granted Marshall has not had the stand-out season at Charlton that we hoped he might, but in my opinion he was decent more often than he was poor. Is it the case perhaps that at 31 years old Marshall is considered to be past the peak of his playing powers?

I noticed he did not feature much in Lee Bowyer's campaign. That might indicate Bowyer is still making decisions, or it could be coincidence. Perhaps there are fitness issues as well?

All guess-work I concede. But I'll be a bit sorry to see Mark Marshall leave if he does go.

Ben Hamer must have a very good Agent.

He’s got himself another Premier League club <yikes>

    Huddersfield.

I was watching SSN last night at about 6pm. Every time that rotating headline bar got close to showing League One news, they had a commercial break!
It was about ten past seven before I got to read it and I was underwhelmed by the one transfer it showed.

Hamer must be very pleased with that move.

I wonder if Huddersfield asst Manager & ex team mate Andy Hughes recommended him?

No big surprise if Konsa or Pearce/ Bauer leave. I reckon all three could play in the Championship. I heard that we have received a bid for Konsa from Southampton. I don't know how true it is.

Konsa should be sold in my opinion IF the owner gives Bowyer the sale money to build a promotion side - in the same way that Powell was given the Carl Jenkinson money.

If the end of last season taught us anything it was that the current team lacks the guile and firepower to get out of League One. Too many 1-0 games and too many games when we went for ages without even having a shot.

The key to this summer will be retaining Fosu and replacing Magennis & Ajose with decent strikers who can score 20 goals. I would also get rid of the lightweight Reeves.

We need a bit of grunt. We are too lightweight, an enforcer in midfield and some firepower up top. Also full back cover, a goalkeeper, wingers and some midfield guile. It is going to be a busy summer of recruitment. Yet we are still in Limbo with no CEO, no CFO, no Manager no new owner, a ticket system not fit for purpose. The Aussies will have their work cut out when they do finally take over.

Imagine if we HAD gained promotion to the Championship. We would have just wasted a vital 3/4 weeks of preparation.

Robinson thought he could tikka takka his way out of this league with a team of munchkins.

I hope Bowyer will carefully study the Shrewsbury way over the summer ...or even what Harris has done at Millwall.

We need a team of gritty scrappers & players who can put their foot in, a bit like Bowyer did when he was a player.

Exactly the reasons why I don't have much hope of finishing top two this season, or promotion via the play-offs.

Thanks for this information DickPlumb. I didn't 'like' your post because the news it conveys is not good in my opinion, but I appreciate you posting it.
I hope it isn't true but if it is, there's nothing we can do about it.

Another poster saying Blackburn. There could be some truth in us losing a centre half because we are looking at a couple of possibilities.
