You've got a decent player there, and a sensible young man. He's made what is probably the best career move rather than what will get the biggest wage packet. It doesn't surprise me, having had a conversation with his Dad a while ago. The uncertainty at Charlton is surely a factor.

I won't go overboard about him, although he looked ok on the few occasions I saw him. A bigger concern is the vacuum the club currently exists in sees us losing players to the likes of Gillingham.
 
Dean Parrett has also signed for Gillingham from AFC Wimbledon.

He joined Palace in 2011 and has had loan spells with eight clubs. Yeovil, Cheltenham, Colchester etc. He is a six foot five centre half. He has never played for Palace.

Coventry City ... 4 players out

Peterborough United ... 1 new signing

Rochdale ... 1 new signing

Southend United ... 1 player out (to Bradford)
 
I was really surprised how poor he was last season. He and Reeves were major disappointments. I presume he is on a high wage. What I would like to know is who is making these decisions?

That’s the mystery - fair play to Bowyer though if he has made a decision on this underachiever.

I think he must have fallen out with Bowyer, because he was left out of the squad altogether for the Shrewsbury game.
