I'm sure she was. Sorry about that, couldn't resist it.

As requested I have gone forth and about to multiply. He says optimistically.

Anyone tuned in to the Eventing? The course looks pretty testing, but makes me want to get back on a horse and give it a bash!
I know someone who walked the course over the weekend and she said the jumps are all pretty mainstream on their own, but the course is very twisty and will take a lot of getting to be inside the time.

Just switched over from watching the racing PN. Not really my sport to be honest. I prefer fences that fall if you touch them, as opposed to those solid jumps. I know they aren't very big but I always worry that one little slip could be horrific.

I went to the football last night - great advert for this country - 85,000 people turning up to watch britain v UAE. Shame about the over eager, in your face ambassadors though. I know McDonalds pay a lot to sponsor the games but it really wasn't necessary for them to give LOCOG the employee handbook and tell the volunteers to adhere to it like glue....... If I want to be spoken to like a 7 year old I know a man in Greenford

Oh dear. Stewards enquiry. Japan queried their marks and enquiry accepted raising Japan from 4th to Silver and demoting GB to Bronze.

Another non expert comment coming up. :) The men's 200 free will be a "mouth watering" <laugh> (sorry about that) affair. According to Billy Hill, the 400m freestyle winner Sun Yang is an 11-10 chance, as against Agnel's 2-1 and Lochte's 5-2. The really interesting thing about the clash is the path taken into the race by the swimmers. Yang has to step back from the 400, while Agnel and Lochte will step up from the 100 relay. I think Lochte showed in the relay that he's more a 400 man. He was run down by Agnel in the relay but was outstanding in the 400 IM. Maybe the 200 will suit him tonight, but I'm not too sure about Yang. So for what it's worth, I think Agnel is easily the best of the three at 100m, but can he match it with the "stayers" over a grueling 200? I'd be prepared to take the punt and say yes.

Out on a limb time. Yannick Agnel.

Great call, Cyc, you really know your swimming! <applause>
Yannick absolutely slaughtered them, clear water between his feet and the second (as pointed-out by the commentator) which is incredible in a 200m race, surely, especially a Final? Dunno about this Lochte, non-stayer or what? Biedermann continues to disappoint, lucky to hold on to his world record for the distance.

I don't know what's going on, but Bronte Barratt is a 12-1 shot for the woman's 200m Freestyle final tonight despite being the fastest qualifier. Maybe it's an outdated market. Great race though with 6 time world record holder and defending champion Fredrica Pellegrini looking a chance of being rolled. The US swimmer Allison Schmitt is the fav with odds of 9-4 on offer. A wide open race, but the 12-1 looks decent value Barratt. Wonder if it's possible bet each way here?

Good shout Cyc...<applause>

One of the events that i ended up watching yesterday was the women's water polo... Its pure brutality. Kicking, punching, slapping and attempts at drowning the oppo... Just like a good game of rugby, but in water...!!!

They have to be fit them girls to do that sport so im going to try and get to watch the mens water polo as after reading up on the game a little, as it seems that full blown violence can errupt at anytime... Its the true meaning of the Olympic spirit...<whistle><laugh><Laugh>

Great result in the Eventing - team Silver for GB and 2 riders in contention for an individual medal (currently 3rd and 4th) in this afternoon's second round of showjumping.
