Yep. And I never understood it. Played for 5 years without grasping where you should stand....I volunteered to be in goal for the best team because at least I knew where to go and hardly saw the ball.
I enjoyed playing it when the pitch was flat (not often) and if love to be playing now on the Astro pitches. Makes it so much easier (though faster) for ball control and passing.
I used to play on grass as well. The bully off was fun but mind your ankles!
Same here, I much preferred netball but that was considered a spring/summer sport whereas we had to play hockey the rest of the time, which in Wales meant the cold and wet autumn and winter
