If i was a liverpool fan i would have avoides defending him, comparing irrelevant incidents and just condemned him on this occasion.

I would have realised this will just carry on and the more desperately i tried to excuse what he did based on what others have done, the more **** that gets aimed at my club.

If its **** all to do with liverpool then we all must agree, ban this vile disgusting creature from football for the good of the sport.

I wouldnt want my clubs name tarnishes again by this idiot.

Thats just me though. I support a respectable club so maybe its different?

get to **** <laugh>

Failed to reach a decision <laugh>

dear oh dear what a bunch of bottlers

clearly there are those willing to give him a year ban (international only) and those who want a one match ban <laugh>

next match is saturday. they'll have to decided today.

So (chortles) it appears that hang, draw and quarter is not an option despite the man media wishing it to be so.

Evidence for that urban myth please. I was season ticket holder from 1985 to 1997. Not once did I see any bananas thrown at Barnes at Anfield from anyone but the away section (half a ****ing fruit stall when Newcastle played in the cup there in 1988). And evidence please, and not just the usual hearsay.

Many thanks.

I didn't say it was at Anfield.

It was at his first game, away at Arsenal and is clearly documented. Nick Hornby has a piece on it in Fever Pitch

You're welcome

Tommy Docherty sacked for banging the physio's wife

Giggs, the affair, the abortion and the failed super injunction.

MUFC the epitome of respectability.<laugh>

Cantona had banned himself from playing for France, so the ban was irrelevant to internationals. When Suarez was banned over the Evra business he was available to play for Uruguay, though had he transferred that January to another country he would still have had to serve his domestic ban in that country. The same was made clear (and that he could still play for Uruguay - which he did) whilst he was serving his Ivanovic ban last summer.

In summary, no-one has ever been banned by FIFA for domestic football for an on-field infringement involv
ing violence with another player in an international game. Wishful thinking on the part of some hysterical journalists and selective old maids of opposing supporters.

That said, the FA stated before the Ivanovic ban that they were unable to take into consideration Suarez's previous biting incident in Holland as it had happened under a different jurisdiction - then promptly cited it in their reasonings for the length of the ban. If Sepp wants to get back in with the English media, or appease the Brazilians as well, then rules and precedents could go out of the window. They do leave themselves open to a legal ****storm though, and it was intriguing to read in the Telegraph that the CAS in Switzerland have supposedly been put on standby by FIFA just in case. So maybe FIFA are ready to bow to the pitchforked mob?

Cantona's ban was worldwide, end of story.

You're second point is right though, as there's no precedent for FIFA to issue a Worldwide ban for an on field incident of this nature. It's simply not going to happen. He'll get an International ban of anywhere between 6 games and a year imo.

Spying on women in public toilets is far worse than anything Saurez has ever done. <yikes>

Come to think of it, shagging your brother's wife while your own wife is still in hospital after having your kid, yep also worse than anything Luis has done.

lets not forget RvP only got off with rape because they smeared the woman claiming he raped her, and shoved a few Euros in her pocket.

You got some twisted sense of morality there UIR

That's without getting into grannies, attacking fans, brutal dangerous assaults on the field of play.

Never mind Fergie and Robbo were involved in criminal activity in selling English clubs illegally.

**** off UIR, so your morals tell you its ok to get your brothers wife pregnant or to meet whores and pay them for sex behind your wife's back but biting and calling someone "negrito" is far worse.<doh>

The bite and name calling will be forgotten in time but the other things mentioned will last a life time for the families involved.

Racism and biting are both worse. Who the **** bites aomeone

Affairs while wrong are not comparable to a grown man biting another man. Simple as that.

Half of the people on here have had ir an in an affair now. No question about it. Probably including some of you moral compasses too.

Affair?

It was his brothers wife, an unborn child was aborted to try and save him from the shame and humiliation, he tried to censor people discussing it.
