Then how the **** does repeatedly kicking or elbowing someone now carry the same sentence? More dangerous things are lesser offences? It's ridiculous. because biting is unpalatable it must be a harder sentence? Bollocks.

A punch doesn't carry a ban like that, even a second or third offence.

is the world gone mad.

it's like giving heftier sentences to someone who touches a boob and lesser sentences to a violent rape.

Di Canio was banned for 11 matches for brushing into a referee, would you have argued that he could have smashed him in the face before that was justified?

But of course you're not condoning anything here, lol

Yeah Marlow's end should have been bloody, not walking off into the sunset.

if anyone was walking off it should have been snoop <laugh>

i felt that the omar part once he broke his ankle was crap... i thought at once that the serial biting was going to be pinned on him. i don't think it was but it would have at least tied up.

<laugh> Found that funny.

Seriously though, I think the main reason why people are so outraged by this is because biting isnt considered.......manly....for lack of a better word.
In sport you will always get fists, knees, etc, but headbutts, spitting and biting are considered disgusting and are even illegal in UFC.

Its just the global pre conception of certain acts, and biting is considered vile.
You could argue its merits against more violent acts like elbowing someone in the face and whatnot, and I wouldnt necessarily disagree. But its just that biting is considered inhumane and animalistic by a large portion of society.

Would I rather be bit than headbutt? Hell yes! But biting is taboo and they will come down on him.

Lastly..........
3 times Luis!! Come the **** on man!! Come on! Just quit it you silly gimp!

I agree with that mate, it is vile but it is just not worse than a punch. that is a physical fact. We are not talking Tyson now are we, if we were I would have wanted him gone after the first one. The outcome of all 3 was no injury to anyone. Meanwhile those who put out players for months get 3 games.

Just doesn't add up is all I am saying.

I was truly gutted when Omar died. Truly gutted. The best character in a show EVER!

brushing?

i'd contend he did a lot more before he clearly pushed a ref. he did throw punches etc to players.

ref pushing was unpredented at the time and had to be dealt with.

the fa felt the same twice with suarez... now its fifa's problem. they will have to act fast due to schedule so we'll see... i do think you'll be dissappointed come august however

His ban will have immediate effect, which will be unfortunate for Liverpool.

It was discussed on the radio this morning about its effect on sending players for international duty, its not going to help, but other players are professional, so i can't see it making much difference.
I would suggest that Rogers take a hammer to Suarez's kneecaps before internationals come around, maybe he did before the world cup this year seeming he had that surgery

If he had been available from the start of last year, you could have won the league and if hes not going to be available again at the start of this season, it could ruin your chances again!
I really can't understand why Liverpool fans jump to his defence!

We don't.

FFS Tobes and are really clutching at straws, that was many counts of assault right there in that video by Di Canio

You appear to be confusing the standard bans that are given out for violent conduct etc with something like this which doesn't carry an automatic ban because it is not expected to be part and parcel of professional football.

It would be a sad day if there was automatic bans in place for biting an opponent! What next, bans in place for having a dump in the centre circle or ****ing and throwing it at an official...just in case there is a **** around who may do it!!

If he's already had a 7 and 10 match ban for this offence and still not learnt, the authorities have to sit down and determine what sanction is appropriate to act as a deterent in the future as well as a punishment. Whilst it is ultimately a different footballing body to before, 10 games should really be the starting point. In my view 10 games would not be remotely sufficient.

yes but i felt his return was contrived as well. i hated the whole school part of the show. felt it was forced in due to the nature of the show being so harsh.

omar was out and came back, i didn't buy his injury and wandering about until a kid shoots him.. i would have perferred a stringer bell type face off with marlow as i felt aside from shhoting tin cans marlow never really got down and nasty.... which was the cut out i know but if marlow was to go down i felt a climactic battle with omar and a murder charge would be the best way

Good point that it is not a standardisd foul, it should be given the context, it is vile, stupid but not dangerous, spitting also falls into this category surely, not the same I know but also vile. Some reality though, it is violent conduct and should be treated as such regardless of the morality of it

so... explain rule of violent conduct then... its violent conduct and covered in the rules...

the only real question here is whether the ban is international only or world wide as all the rival fans are obviously clamouring for a world ban with glee. i can see nobody arguing fro a standard ban taken seriously. its simply a matter in my mind of not for how long but whether fifa see it like an english rival or like half the world who think he's bizarre but are already thinking about last 16
