Just been on hold for 30 mins trying to get through to Durham CCC for a Test Match ticket.

Must be one person on the switchboard taking the calls.

They'll be inundated with calls today though after that stonker of a first test. I have mine for the first day on the Friday. Day 4 and 5 tickets still kicking about, but day 4 getting limited.

Loving Warnes column. While he makes some valid points about England underperforming in the first test, it just comes across as straw clutching stuff in the main. He has to of course as a proud Austrailian, but the fact is a well below par England beat Austrailia, Swann is now moving away from his bogey ground and the batsmen have all got some sort of knock in them.

I'd retain Finn. People are clamouring for him to be dropped and if it was anywhere but Lords I might agree. However his home ground has some unique characteristics with the slope which it isn't easy to master. His international record there is ridiculous with 9, 4, 4, 8, 4 his return from 5 test matches. Yeah the 9 was Bangladesh, but the 8 was SA. I don't think you can shy away from a bowler who looks certain to get you at least 4 wickets over two innings as your 3rd choice quick. I also think the Aussies have decided he is the weak link (quite rightly) and won't respect him which is a recipe for disaster when he is so effective there. If you were taking him out I'd go Onions before Bres. Bres has struggled there at times and it lends itself to a wicket to wicket bowler like Onions. Broad has a cracking record there too.

The Aussies young bowlers may struggle to get to grips with the slope and I'm going for a big big England win.

Finn dropped, Bres in. Aussies make two changes, Khwaja for Cowan, Harris for Starc. England win toss and bat first. Lets make it count and grind these aussies into the dirt!

42-3. Rocky start to proceedings on what looks a belter of a pitch. We need 400 plus. Cook, Root and KP gone. Root will start to get the calls if he doesn't make a score in this test or the next one.

Former Australia captain Steve Waugh, speaking on TMS: "Somewhere like Abu Dhabi or Sharjah would be a great place for a day-night Test match. It would be an exciting event."

Anybody think that Waugh is trying to fix himself up with a Mega pay day from the Arabs?

Wouldn't put it past him, seen video's of some of his antics in the 80's.
