Good luck to him with Barca.

I'm glad he's gone for his sake and for ours. Now our players (existing and future) have to step up to the plate and take our club where we want it to be. We are now free of the tyranny of becoming dependant upon 1 player.

I thank him for the goals that he's scored for us and the confidence that he has helped to instil in players and fans in an attacking style of football.

I want to attack him for the disgrace that he brought to the club but some of that was self-inflicted, some of it was caused by outside agencies and a lot of it by psychological flaws in Suarez himself that he cannot control for some reason.

If and when he returns to Anfield he should be treated with all respect for what he has achieved whilst playing for us.

It's the right time for both him and us that he should go now. It's up to both him and LFC to define in which directions our future's lie.

Good Luck and thanks Luis

Gook Luck in taking us forward Brendan.

is there a reason this has been done so quickly, when we havent even got half our targets yet?

The guy is the reason that we're back in the CL and his legacy, if wisely spent (big IF) will help us maintain that. I for one would stand and applaud him if he returned....assuming he doesn't bad mouth the club or Rodgers, who has had nothing but praise for him. I see no reason why he should though.

Good luck in replacing him but no matter how many you buy , there will be nobody as talented .
The legacy can be painful if things go wrong.
You should be OK as you have a far more ambitious owner/board than us ,
our "buy to sell policy " is a strategy of defeat .
I hope you retain top 4 as we have no chance.

<peacedove>Maybe it's a good thing, Liverpool allowed Luis Suarez to leave for Barcelona.
I can see that the future is bright. No one is greater than Liverpool Football Club.
We are moving on.

I think it's ****ing sad that a player as good as Suarez is being lost to the Premier League

To think... had you offered £40mill + £2 last summer he could have been yours! <ok>

I'm glad he's gone to be honest... we, Liverpool, are losing a huge player... but we're relieving ourselves of a massive responsibility and liability. I hope his leaving doesn't hurt us too bad- but I doubt we've heard the last of his controversies.

He was too "hot" for the PL at the moment- the authorities are waiting to do him in... any slight mishap and the PL would ban him for a long-long time... he's not generating as much heat in Spain yet... and I think they will be more likely to overlook what he does. They tolerate foreign-idiots better there.

Now he's gone wait for rival fans to come and tell us were going to struggle to get top 4 as we were one man team, Suarez was brilliant we've been ripped off etc <whistle>

I'm waiting for all the rival fans who claimed Suarez was dragging our name through the mud and we should get rid of him to turn up and congratulate us

It started a few weeks ago.

"London Only Won 1 EC" a Chelsea fan who post nothing but anti Liverpool stuff has for months been calling Suarez useless and a flat track bully.

As soon as links with Barca came complete he posted an article saying that Suarez leaving for Barcelona would give Barcelona the best forward line ever.

Where the feck have you been?

He did...

Any genuine liverpool fan would tell you that. Infact, ask half of your fellow posters. Or just ask most liverpool fans.

Time will tell of your better off without him. Tye good news is youve made a move to sign erm.....
