You have to be kidding, "listen Alexis, i see you as a false centre half playing in the number 9 position out on the left wing". The guy will just not underestand our English ways and tactical deffinitions

He understood it enough to finish 2nd in the league last season.<whistle>

Lol, more like after ten minutes on the phone with Brendan he'll feel like he'd just phoned an 0898 number and had the best wrist twist of his life!

I'd rather let him rot in the reserves than take that kind of drop in his value. Normally I'd say cash in on any player trying to force his way out but he's put us through so much that we are due a payday at least, so 80 mill or 60 & Sanchez or he stays and if he kicks off this time though **** he plays or rots in the reserves.

"Listen, Alexis, when we have the ball everyone here at Liverpool is a player, okay?"

Maybe he's not as thick as Rooney.

Yep, thats the way to do it, spend all your money and get the replacements in first. Then Barca can sit back and look at your spending and increased wage bill and say "we have reconsidered, £57mil is a little too much for this player, we will pay you £40mil or move on to another player". How do you stand then?
Either you're a really bad WUM, or you need to learn to read.

I'll give you a clue. I used the word "announced" not "sell".

I wouldn't be a jot surprised if Barca use their influence with FIFA to get the domestic aspect of the ban suspended too. And even less surprised that once he no longer plays for Liverpool that the English media won't give a flying **** about it.

?? Value is set by the buying club, nobody was prepared to offer more than £40mil last year, to get £17.5mil more after one great season would be exceptional. If Liverpool value him at £80mil and nobody offers that what does that make his true market value?
It is all relative really, he may be worth much more than that to Liverpool in shirt sales and league position/Champions League Money gained by his performancies.

It simply means he would be worth more to Liverpool than anyone else.

Nah not having that Diego, if that was true no club would get the fee they wanted due to the buying club offering less than the asking price and using last season as your example don't cut it really, ok Arsenal wanted him but wouldn't go any higher than the 40+1 because theyre a money hoarding club and cheapskates in the market, and both Real and Barca didn't need him in the January window but Barca do now hence the transfer negotiations.
