Vikings have been awarded the highest comp pick in this years draft - 97 overall.

A great trade off for Darnold winning a superbowl

I think they’ll end up with 98 as well when the Eagles trade for Greenard, something like picks 68 and 98 should probably get it done.

Geno Smith to the Jets. This pretty much means Murray to the Vikings will be done once Cardinals release him.

Love free agency, but some of the contracts being dished out are unreal. Though happy with Willis to The Dolphins

Ravens pull out of the Crosby deal due to “medical concerns” then immediately sign Hendrickson

Sounds legit

That talk is bollocks. He's not giving up his NFL paychecks to play in the minors for the A's.

He’ll get paid more in the MLB than the nfl this year, and no guarantee he gets more money long term in the NFL. Much less risky sport as well longevity wise. Just depends how good he is at the sport having not played it competitively for years

If his options are vet minimum in the NFL playing for the Vikings or baseball then I know which I’d pick

He's 28/29 now. It takes 3-4 seasons in the minors to be ready for MLB. 2 if you're a top prospect. And MLB works completely differently financially - because you play longer you have to wait longer to be well paid. He'd have to be really good straight away.

Well yeah that’s what I meant by it depends how good he is at baseball. He was (I think) talked about being the number 1 pick when he was deciding between the NFL and MLB in college. No idea how much he has kept up his baseball ability in that time though

He’ll make loads from just the media stuff by switching, which will be more than he’d earn in the NFL this year.

Sounds like Murray is flying to Minnesota tonight.

Didn’t realise that the Cardinals are paying him 23m this year due to guaranteed money he’s owed, assume he gets that no matter what.

Not quite as much as Tuas 54m he’s guaranteed but can see why they are both happy to take the vet minimum.

Hargrave signs for the Packers, think that means the Vikings are off the hook for a few mil cap wise

Hold up on the Eagles trading for Greenard is agreeing terms on a new deal for him when he signs. Interested to see what the Vikings get in compensation for him

Result. Of all the FA QB's he has the biggest upside. Given we're paying him the minimum salary it's low risk as well.
