07/12/2017 : Things have panned out as I (half) expected * :

Skysports - Derek McInnes to stay as Aberdeen manager and will not join Rangers

We should persevere with Graeme Murty, he has not let anyone down.

* I posted the following on my Rangers Forum two days ago :

05/12/2017 : This formal approach from Rangers to Aberdeen will satisfy those who wanted to see Rangers' Board actually doing something about this matter. The cynic in me says that Rangers knew that Aberdeen would not let Mr McInnes break his contract and expected Aberdeen's rejection of permission to speak to their Manager.
I also wonder about Mr McInnes' state of mind with all this speculation, for I am certain that he would very much like to become Manager of Rangers, but also has unfinished business at Aberdeen which out of loyalty (maybe) and professional pride, he would want to see through.

Good point, Larry.

Don't know many Rangers fans who wanted McInnes so no big loss in my book. Give it to Murty until the end of the season, I'm sure he'll get 2nd and wait and see who is available in the Summer.

I would like them to continue with Murty, but bring in Stuart McCall to work beside him. I think the pair of them would do a really good job for us.

22/12/2017 : I think Rangers' Board has made the correct decision today in appointing Graeme Murty as Manager to the end of the Season. It recognises the overall good work Murty has done to date and gives him the security of knowing he is here for a set period of time. It also gives him the incentive (which he has readily acknowledged) of getting the results for Rangers that will give him the best chance of getting the job of Manager on a permanent, ongoing basis.
There is nothing to lose and everything to be gained from hereon, so let us see Graeme Murty make a success of this opportunity. All the Very Best, mate.
