Ramsdale
Suga, Stephens, Bedders, KWP
Fernandes, Downes, Dibling
Cornet, Archer, BBD

Last season's system with Flynn as the deeper DM and Tyler playing the Stuey role transitioning the play with his forward running with the ball and Fernandes the box to box 8.
Cornet as the RWF and BBD as the LWF and Archer as the CF.
Jack deserves to start in front of THB right now but I wouldn't be against having a look at Edwards or Wood too.

Way too attacking I think. You want Les in there for Cornet. Put Dibbles in where Cornet is. Fernandes as the link man/Stu/Lampard/Gerrard.

We should play this team for the lols. Reckon we would concede about 5 a game but we might score a couple as well

I wouldn’t be surprised if Lallana started against Utd, for his ability to control the game and retain the ball, maybe switching with Dibling for the second half.
This might suit RM’s desire to protect Dibling from being overused and it could also help Lallana by not overworking him too.

I hope so. We need some positive influence in the dressing room.

Sorry.

United (H)- 2-1 narrow loss to some bent refeering decisions. Gives a smidgen of hope.

Ipswich (H)- 1-1 draw. Happy clappers feel vindicated. They start to convince themselves we'll be fine. Lots of smugness about trusting the process

Bournemouth (A)- 2-0 Loss. Little cherries fans **** themselves silly over a victory in their cup final. The match thread is massively derailed on what makes a derby. The first Martin out poll from last season is resurrected.

Arsenal (A) The mods shut down the Martin out poll followed by a heavy heavy defeat. Some strong grumblings from the usual posters on here.

Leicester (H) 2-0 loss. Full on teddies out of the pram on the match thread. Arguments rage on until the next game thread, lots of insults between posters deleted by the mods. New poll goes up.

City (A) 5-0 loss. The tide starts to turn on not606, Saint's fans on twitter have already imploded. Lots of angry letters in the echo. Some fat bloke threatens to go on hunger strike until Martin is binned

1 point.

I'm pretty much Mystic Meg

Yeah I don’t know where any points are going to come from.

We are so bad offensively and defensively that I really think Derby’s record is under threat. These martinball tactics just aren’t working at all.

Bournemouth and Leicester are pretty much must win games or we risk being cut adrift. My prediction of 2 points is looking accurate from here.

Can't really class a Bournemouth as a must win. They're much better than us and we can't argue with a point if we manage one.

They're also a really good pressing side so can see a heavy defeat there tbh.

Arsenal away should be fun. Might end up regretting buying a ticket for that one.

I agree they are much better than us, but everyone is in the PL. 1 point from 5 is abysmal, if that becomes 2 from 9 we would have an uphill struggle.

It feels so different to when we were promoted in 2012, I literally don’t see us beating anyone.

It is different. In 2012 the league was easier to break into, we had two seasons of momentum, we had an incredibly ambitious and ruthless chairman, we had three of four players good enough to break into the England team.

Just accept it is different. This is going to be a season of rare highs. If you keep getting upset that our poor team performs poorly it is going to be a miserable one.

Our recruitment is getting considerably better, but we have a squad bloated with mediocrity. If we can get rid of the chaff next season could be fun again.

Sage words, sage words.

I know it’s different, can’t help feeling a bit miserable about it. (It’s not actually making me miserable, it’s just football, but you know what I mean).

Oh please. We're nowhere near as bad as that Derby team. Even if we go down we'll get a lot more points than that team did.
