I’ve seen Jew patrol in Stamford Hill. I think it’s a disgrace.

These conversations always bring me back to the fact all these ridiculous hocus locus religions should be banished. They are the root of most problems.

I agree with the hocus pocus point. However, if these private patrols are law abiding and a positive force, acting for the good of all (unlike the sharia nazis) then I don't see a problem.

The graph on the first page shows police numbers increasing every year bar 2 (when there were minimal reductions explicable by fluctuations in recruitment) between 2004 - 2010. This is consistent with increases in numbers from 1997 onwards.

http://webarchive.nationalarchives....ttp://rds.homeoffice.gov.uk/rds/hosb2010.html

I will open that when home later.

However police figures in 2010 were not at 90's levels

No increase in real terms. So for example If you cut or lose 10k in 95 and by 2005 have increased by 5k you are actually 5k short

And street policing as a policy was replaced by police in cars because of falling numbers

^^^ Yet more lies from you.

Shomrim does not have law enforcement powers.

BTW, you haven't claimed to have been a founding father of Shomrim yet. You're slipping. <laugh>

Think you'll find they like to keep certain things "in house" see quotes earlier

Indeed not a founding father but I know enough about them and how police actually don't like them but are scared of being called anti semetic

PCSOs were introduced by the Labour government specifically to increase the visible police presence. Since 2010 this ancillary arm of the police has effectively been killed off by austerity cuts.

The increase in the number of motorised, rather than foot patrols, is due to the fact that, er, it's the 21st Century mate. Although there is plenty of evidence to suggest that the public feel more reassured by Bobbies on the beat than patrol cars.

There is a simple correlation here; increase police resources - crime goes down. Cut those resources - crime goes up. Labour government - resources increased. Tory government - resources cut. It's as plain as the nose on your face.

As for private patrols, in any community - it really shouldn't be necessary and it sets a dangerous precedent. But I would say, having lived in Stoke Newington, that I don't think I'd be that bothered by a bunch of Stamford Hill froomers patrolling the streets - they're a pretty law abiding community and not threatening, albeit barely 'integrated' after 200+ years in North London. I never had any of them try to tell me how to dress or behave, or where I could or couldn't go, put it that way.

...and the police like them too, despite what lies some on here would have you believe.

The police’s dog unit and Met task force pitched up too, as did firearms officers and even police horses Regal Blue and Lorcan...

He added he was happy to see Cllr Soraya Adejare, the speaker of Hackney, enjoying herself.

Last year, Shomrim helped the police arrest 136 people and helped track down 31 vulnerable missing people.

Sergeant Dave Lamb from Hackney North East Neighbourhoods said it was an “excellent and enjoyable day”. He said: “This is the second year that we have supported the Shomrim Neighbourhood Watch with their Open Day event for members of the North East Communities.

Would you be happy with the football fans alliance setting up a private Policing scheme?

How would that be community based policing?

A stupid analogy but would I judge their suitability and intentions based solely on their name? Ermmm no.

Small minded you say....lol, your mask has slipped again Dullard

You're still just trying to rejig in order to deflect stumpy. :emoticon-0113-sleep

Why don't you try having an adult conversation, rather than these childish attempts at challenging and trying to confirm your false preconceptions? It's not as though you're any good at them, and it's clearly dull.

I never said based on their name, I'm clearly saying it is based on perceived reputation.

That’s because the ****s won’t look at or speak to you. Try making eye contact with one of them or smiling. They look down or away from you. So we can’t dilute their weirdness. Was out walking my dog one Sunday morning in Stamford hill, I made a point of saying good morning to every wizard. Not one of them so much as looked at me or acknowdged me. They’re vile creatures. Aren’t they being allowed to ban women from driving in London too??

Leave the dog at home next time and see if they react differently <laugh>
