Sources that say just what you want to hear!...so, once again, your evidence is none!?
and your evidence to counter those claims ?

So you don't, then?
I can see it being the case, but there's no actual evidence for it, just claims.
I'd have thought that any club signing him would have to pay a significant chunk of his wages or they just wouldn't do it.
If the contract stated that anything that they paid would reduce Tottenham's payments, then they'd pay him nothing.
So if journalists report something, then it's true if no other journalists claim otherwise? I don't agree. The links I have provided are all credible. The Independent, The Telegraph. Even some of your own fan sites say it's the case. If it wasn't surely your own fans would have done some digging to try and counter it ?
If as it appears it is the case that Spurs are paying him £100k per week, then any amount that another club are willing to pay would be an attractive option to Levy as it will reduce the amount he's paying him. As reported though he Spurs could still end up having to pay some of his wages (severance) if it doesn't match the £100k which he's currently receiving from Spurs.

You're the one trying to prove something. You started this, didn't you?
You seem to have misunderstood my point with regards to another club paying Adebayor.
If anything that they pay reduces the amount that he receives, then why would either he or this hypothetical club want to pay him?
I'd assume that there's some sort of automatic reduction if he signs a contract elsewhere.

When I first posted the links to the story that Spurs were paying him £100k per week. You said that both he and the club have said otherwise.
Where did you read that ? Was it on the club's official website ?
They were tweets from both the club and the player. Adebayor said that " I can confirm that I have reached agreement with the club to terminate my contract"
That makes no sense. If another club signs him, then how can Spurs negotiate, unless we still hold his registration? It appears that isn't the case though. From what is being reported, Spurs have agreed a severance package that includes Adeybayor being paid in full until the summer. Or that another club might negotiate with Spurs to meet some of that payment if they sign him. Hence, Spurs may well still have to pay some of his 'wages' even though he's playing for another club.
It wouldn't be the first time something similar has happened with Adebayor either. Spurs benefited from Man city paying some of his wages when he caused a **** storm up there.
We did try and tell you that he was trouble![]()
Yes. We know that. Nobody is disputing that his contract has been terminated. That's what I said initially. What you seem not to be grasping is that there appears to be a severance agreement in terminating that contract that stipulated that Adebayor is paid in full £100k per week until this summer (barring another club taking him on and paying a proportion of that figure)
That makes no sense. If another club signs him, then how can Spurs negotiate, unless we still hold his registration?
The other club could just sign him and not agree to anything with the club.
I believe that the Man City thing is now against the rules too, for some reason. Something to do with third party influence, possibly?
The amount would have to be specified in the agreement and I believe that's now against the rules anyway, as I've already stated. It would make sense if that is part of the severance package. i.e Spurs continue to pay his wages in full until the summer 2016, unless in the winter transfer window another club sign him up and agree to pay a part of that £100k. Spurs could quite easily put that in as part of the severance deal.
That's exactly what is being reported.
Really this is starting to really bore me now. You have no evidence to back up your claims. You started this based on an old article from The Telegraph in the first week of December! ( how sad is that!)
Now really, I'm tired of playing these infantile games with you. Get a life!...

It's interesting that you now believe whatever the press report, though.
And why would they agree to pay anything, under those circumstances? Not necessarily. The agreement could have stated that any club wishing to sign Adebayor would have to negotiate with Levy about the amount of the 100k that they are willing to pay.
That is what is being reported anyway.
We'd see Ade signing somewhere on minimum wage if this was the case. I guess the new club would have to pay something to make it a contract - a contract needs what HIAG would call consideration if my O Level Law is correct. And why would they agree to pay anything, under those circumstances?
That doesn't make any sense at all, does it?

The question is why would the buying club pay anything. Ade is getting the same salary whatever they pay him if you are right. Not a difficult negotiation. If it's part of the severance deal, it could quite easily be stipulated. It would make sense for Spurs to do so if they've agreed to pay him £100k until the summer. They would want somebody else to come in and meet part of that £100k
