Southampton, now at a small club where they won’t back him to strengthen the squad sufficiently to be considered title challengers.

Out of curiosity, who were the bigger more successful club before the Russian money came in?

Havn#t Chelsea spent time down in a lower league, where i think Spuds havn't/ I stand to be corrected.

Pochettino’s loyalty was to Cortese, who hired him. Once Cortese was ousted by Liebherr’s daughter, that changed everything.
Not according to Poch

"The new situation is different. We are in the middle of our new project. Nicola knows of my decision to stay; I have spoken to him. I am fully committed to the staff, the players, the club and it would make no sense to leave in the middle of our path."

There’s still no doubt that his loyalty was to Cortese, and if Cortese hadn’t been booted out there’s every chance he’d still be there.

Cortese wasn't 'booted out' and those quotes came from after he left.

He'll likely be gone from this time next year too.

Who?
From memory, Liebherr’s daughter made it very clear she didn’t want him around.

No, Katherina made it very clear that he would no longer be 100% responsible for everything like he had been upto that point, but she hoped he would stay on as a Chairman.

He didn't fancy the idea of being limited by money (fine when not yours) and not having full control so left instead of being reigned in a bit.

In the week that Alli extends his contract, and Poch tells the World that he wants to spend his entire career at Spurs, we shift back above Arsenal.

Kiss those badges, lads. You've thoroughly earned it . Even you, young Foyth - although, please sort out how to defend, yeah?

Hmm...it’s your club mate, so I won’t argue with what you say. But I have read a few articles that give a far less flattering version of Ms Liebherr’s interference.

Her influence was wanting an influence on how her business was run which is fair enough really as she had left Nicola to run things without any interference since Markus' death over 3 years previously.

It's not right to say he was booted out though as they wanted him to stay on just be reigned in a bit, which he obviously didn't fancy.

They spent seven years in division two Com also no strangers to the Southern league. They have visited the second division 6 or seven times.
