Anyway getting back to the brilliant article that HIAG has highlighted : The players in the squad are also older and, frankly, many of them simply do not have the 'legs' they had three or four years ago. The youthfulness and vigour of the side when Pochettino first arrived, if not totally a thing of the past, has diminished. It is also worth noting that it is considered easier to play a high-pressure game on the smaller White Hart Lane surface they used to call home, compared to the longer and slightly wider pitches of Wembley and the new stadium.
HIAG is usually so diligent to post links to the BBC pages he scours for his scratch the surface info. This time he literally lifted one paragraph out of a huge article and decided not to post the link because the rest was slating the spuds for the shower that they have become
Poch quote after Cortese left But the Argentine said: 'First of all I want to show my complete gratitude to Nicola Cortese. He believed in me and my staff and our families are full of gratitude. ‘Eight months ago when we were speaking about things I said there would be no sense for me to stay but it is completely different now. It is a different situation now. Nicola knows about my decision to stay. ‘This club is a society and there is no sense to change. I will be here on Saturday and beyond. I have spoken with Katharina for five minutes today. 'She has told me I have her trust. We have spoken briefly to say 'hi' and she said I have her full support. We have had no time to talk about other things. 'She told me we have her full support and to be stable. Now we have to look to the future.
Spurs officials have apparently met Mourinho representatives in France to discuss a possible vacancy in the near future Reported on Talksport
I’d love him at Spurs Yes he’s a moody ****(good) but he is a winner...that’s not a myth. I don’t judge him by his United tenure. People will say Mourinho can’t work with someone like Levy. This is true also, However both parties will be well aware of each other’s personalities. If Mourinho is on board and focused...he will get us over the line where Poch has failed so far. Levy though will be the ultimate downfall for Jose at Spurs...not his lack of management nouse. Mourinho probably feels like he’s got something to prove in the PL...that’s a dangerous Mourinho.
Maurine can do a job with most clubs, unfortunately we had Woodward and Spurs have Levy so no chance.
Agreed, his record can't be argued against as a manager, the only uncertainty is will he be given enough dosh to remold the squad to his liking and if not will he then throw a wobbler, the at is the risk with moreen. Depends what levy wants I suppose, short term success is very possible with moreen even with the squad as it is I think, you have the players to do better than now, sometimes a new face and new ideas is all a squad needs. But he hasn't got a history for sticking about long, so after 3 years it could be square one again. The perks of moreen is he can attract players to the club on his reputation alone, like Klopp and pep can, and as you say he's a proven winner. Not sure how I'd feel about moureen at spurs tbh could go wither way really.
Fuming by talks of 'hey dan' oh hi ya fat useless useless ****, what you want' it's about january transfer kitty. yeah ok, sit down and have some banana cake So how much can i have? Well i've done the sums, and your ****, so sell Kane and i'll give you 26p, i've spent a lot on a stadium ya know, NFL is gonna be massive....You know anything about NFL?
Well if it’s possible for Spurs to win a title (doubtful) then Maurine is your man. Let’s hope Danny can fund the guy properly.

I think Spurs would probably get a bit of their bounce back with Maureen, but how long would it last before he reverts to type and starts chucking his toys out ? Let's be honest here, Maureen is past it at the top level and relies on spending his way out of trouble, something Levy is renowned for not doing. I couldn't think of a worse pairing of manager and chairman to be honest. Bring it on
I don’t think it would ever happen, personally. It’s just the usual tabloid bollocks when they need a headline and there’s nothing really going on. If it ever did happen I’m sure it would only be after some understanding had been reached between Levy and Maureen. They’re both intelligent men who are well aware of the others reputation.
I'm sure all the other chairman that have employed him felt the same. Never underestimate the ability for a man's ego to destroy everything he's trying to build. And with Mourinho and Levy you have two of the biggest egos in football.
I’m sure some of those chairmen will have been pleased. Some not. He’s controversial, but he has actually won several major trophies.
