After a mixed start to the season, our plucky lads battled bravely to a draw against our arch enemy. We should have won the game after two clear penalties weren't given, but I think we would have taken the point at the start of the game, so I am not going to grumble.

I think we can kick on, now, and start our campaign for yet another top 4 slot, especially as Poch seems to be a lot happier with things.

All in all, I remain optimistic about the season.

I didn't know where to put this, so this is as good a place as any...

On TalkSport's "Drive" tonight, Adrian Durham was "pumping" through the Kleenex and really laying into both Arsenal and Spurs. He despises both clubs.

Poch's second half tactics, and Winks' anonymity were his main bones of contention with us, but his best crack was reserved, as usual, for the hapless Gunners, when he described Granit Xhaka as Spurs' best player.

Lionel Messi will be allowed to leave Barcelona on a free transfer next summer, should the 32-year-old Argentina forward desire, owing to a clause in his contract. (El Pais, via L'Equipe)

I'm sure that Levy will be looking at this.

Yeah in the paper like you that's about it <laugh>

In all honesty after destroying his clubs reputation in the CL forever last year he'd only want us I'm sure.

We could give salah a rest for cup games and that

So will I ... and that is where both of our interests will end ...

If Messi does move, other than back to South America, it will be for mega wages either at PSG, Juve or United ... nobody else will be able to afford him ... he has won everything the game could offer at club level so this last hurrah is likely to be more of a legacy move than one fuelled by further ambition <ok>

Messi hasn’t won the Aldi cup or the Norwich Hospital cup so he is bound to want to come to Spurs so he has that chance, plus he must be bored of earning £600k a week and would happily accept Levy’s offer of £50k a week

So if you put any post up, no matter how stupid, if other posters respond to the post, they have been caught in a cunningly placed net? .... Ffs <doh>

Alternative theory... the responses are merely making use of an an opportunity for some gentle piss taking of both the poster and his team ... radical I know ... but nevertheless <laugh>

C’mon Fosse. Do you seriously think Messi is gonna come to Spurs? No? Well neither does Hiag.

He posts something like that knowing he’ll get the usual responses from the usual suspects.
