on the topic of ****e drivers: twats in the outside lane on a roundabout who just drive straight across, via the inside lane...

(also, on that escalator; no anti slide thingys down the middle. my inner child approves)

<laugh> It has the odd spike every few metres as I recall, but they're avoidable and I saw a kid slide a few metres at a time two or three times once when people were clogging up part of the stairs.

I'll happily straight line a roundabout if there's no other cars around. Not if other cars are on the roundabout tho.

obviously its fine when there's no-one else about, but it always seems to happen when im on the inside, dozy bastards

if you sit on the rubber handrail you can blaze it all the way (used to do it at the haymarket all the time), bit risky though

It feels pretty normal actually because it goes insanely slow. Though when you're going up, if you look back down when you're near the top it can be a bit disorientating. Running up is possible (if people get out of your way!), but if you're unfit its probably a seriously bad idea.

I would be one of the people who would have to run it I'm afraid. Eveyone at work is into these Bootcamp things at the moment, I just try to get as much activity as I can in my day, I can't make the commitment to join clubs etc. I'd be running that every time I used it.

Also hate people that crawl along the motorway at less than 70mph. Unless you're a goods vehicle or towing, there's no reason for it. If a HGV is overtaking you then you're going too ****ing slow.

This reminds me of those people who don't get out of your way while on the escalator down to get on the subway/metro, especially those assholes who ignore you when you say excuse me. Apparently it's impossible for people to just stand on the right and stay there and impossible for them to realise that sometimes other people are in a hurry. It's particularly annoying as my local station has Europe's longest escalator <doh>.

Haha, yeah I'm always running up too - gets easier after the first few times. Also funny conning people who haven't used it before by saying you'll race them and let them go first.

Lorries overtaking lorries on the dual carriageway. <screams>
