One of the issues around wanting to replace the manager is the lack of quality out there. No names really stand out but I'll throw a couple into the ring - Simone Inzaghi and Luis Enrique.

I personally don’t think that Potter is of higher risk to Enrique and Inazaghi.

And I’d definitely have Potter over Southgate.

You don't think a manager who has won nothing and been shown to have flopped at a bigger club is not a higher risk than two managers who have won trophies in leagues with some of the top clubs in Europe?

Have to say he seems to have the minerals.

I'd rather him than Tuchel. Although I do think Tuchel would do a good job in sorting this lot out, he won't pander to the likes of Rashford having one of his (frequent) sad days.

Enrique a nice idea as well, but I'd also not be massively worried if Potter got another shot at a big job.

Everyone got to land their first trophy somewhere. Although really it's probably better to get that monkey off his back somewhere else, as the pressure would be on instantly.

Emery is a proven winner tbf and his football is quality to watch. European trophies at Sevilla and Villareal also a big plus.

The question is, if Villa get top 4 would he be stupid enough to come <laugh> I say that in jest but you know what I mean.

We seem like a poisoned chalice atm. Hopefully Ratcliffe and the new set up come across as having more calibre than the previous lot.

His subs have been ridiculous. Every fcking time, it's been the same in the last 20 mins. And the past 4 games have been a carbon copy of each other.

Stupid subs, give the impetus to the other side, concede goals, give away pens.

You'd think he'd learn ffs.

You guys wanted Poch, both our clubs are in the ****house, lets take the opportunity to do an experiment and swap managers.
We'll take ETH for a season, you can have Poch, would be fun just to see what happens.

So it looks like it will come down to these three according to today’s gossips: Tuchel, Ruben Amorim and Graham Potter.

I really don’t want Tuchel as he reminds me of Mourinho’s time here. The irony is, had the club backed Mourinho over the players those years, we would certainly not be in this rock bottom today.

I don’t know anything about Amorim. But I like the prospect of Potter to come in and build through the structure that is now in place in the form of director of football.

All three have their merits, and all three have negatives.

I'd say they would all do a way better job and have a plan/vision of how the team will play than ten Hag. It still remains true, however, that certain players must leave and others not come back.

I'd take Mourinho back right now.

I would love him to be considered. At 61, his dressing room temperament will be better. He’s been there and done that, understands the demand, and with backing, I think he’d do really well.

Thing is, he did really well first time.

Yes, it turned sour as it does tend to, but that can now clearly be attributed to 'the other side' as much as him.

With Ratcliffe and everyone else properly in place, he'd have a far better platform to work from.
