We should go for Tuchel. That would be the absolute perfect pick. Strong character too.Well that's Poch and ten Hag out of our running, I hope the board have more of a clue than we do.

Nagelsmann is practically impossible! Why would he ever leave Bayern and come to a club with no structure. I read the other day somewhere that he’s likely to fall into the hands of Liverpool or City with the timing of when the positions are likely to be available there. That p!sses me off!Yes - Tuchel,
Most likely - ten Hag
Dreamland - Nagelsmann
No - Poch, Mancini,
Won't happen - Enrique
Here's what I don't get - the manager/coach seems to be the single most critical factor in the modern game and while we wouldn't blink at paying £80m for some superstar player, we seem reluctant to spend that same sort of money on prising away the best managerial/coaching talent from the top clubs - why is that?Nagelsmann is practically impossible! It very much is. PSG is full of talents on paper, but on the pitch, they have the tendencies to bottle it when it mattered. Certainly reminds of this team. Come to think of it, Tottenham had the same tendencies when Poch was the manager there.
It would seem that the club have interviewed Poch![]()
Agreed, and I also think it says a lot for the status of the club within the game in Europe that top managers are subjecting themselves to being interviewed in order to demonstrate their suitability for the role - not many clubs could get away with that.Whether you want him in or not, the club need to be following due diligence in this, and he remains a genuine candidate.
This is surely better than the usual MO of giving it to the nearest unemployed bloke.
But then again, I’ve never heard of any club interviewing managers so publicly. I don’t know if that’s a good thing. It almost becomes appointment by the media.Agreed, and I also think it says a lot for the status of the club within the game in Europe that top managers are subjecting themselves to being interviewed in order to demonstrate their suitability for the role - not many clubs could get away with that.
I don’t think anyone is talking about spend or overall club structure. What I’m talking about is the culture of overpaid primadonnas in the first team. That is clearly evident in the team and has been for years. Neymar is analogous to Pogba for starters.
I also don’t think it counts to win the French League. It’s been a near guarantee with their vast resources versus anyone else in the league. We don’t have that monopoly here. So success is going to be harder to come by.
On Tuchel, I’m for him based on his strong character. And things being equal, he knows how to play his team to their strengths. They are certainly not lighting the league on fire, but they are not a joke team either. They are functional and I think that’s Tuchel’s blueprint. I can see him building on that to take the team forward.

Just read that Van Gaal has advised Ten Haag not to take the Utd manager post as “Utd is a commercial club not a proper football club”. He thinks that for the sake of his career he should consider going to a proper “football club”.
Let’s hope the new guy is more football focused.Yeah, well he would, wouldn't he.
He's also got a point.
Difference being that the man who sacked him, Woodward, won't be around for Ten Hag.
And those wanting Tuchel should be cautious. If you're looking at Poch's record, have a look at his as well, and the time he's spent at the last 3 clubs.
I have my reservations about both.
Tbh I'd like a manager who HASN'T managed another PL side.
