Playing Rooney up front is akin to playing without a striker. Absolute madness to have him up top while Martial is on the wing. I would have no problem with Martial being the main striker, his age is largely irrelevant, Anelka was doing it for Arsenal at 19, but shifting him around to accommodate Rooney is cowardly. There should however be another experienced striker in the squad. The only minor thing I would say in LVG's defence is who knew Rooney would be as ****ing laughably **** as he has been this season!
Ancelotti doesn't take over at Bayern til next year, so he's a free man until then, so how about we hire him until the end of the season to steady the ship, and then go for Pep in the summer. I really don't want Maureen under any circumstances, even if it is only for half a season. There aren't many people in football who I dislike more than Mourinho, i just hope I'm not forced into supporting him
I like the idea, but doubt it will happen. Ancelotti is the type of methodical guy who will be studying the Bundesliga from top to bottom between now and when he takes over so I doubt he would have the time or inclination to distract himself with our troubles. Unfortunately, as looks inevitable even if we finish top 4 this season, LVG is likely to go in May 2016 and since the music stopped and all of the decent managers have clubs - except Maureen - he would appear to be our only option (unless Pep come our way, which I doubt as the rumours of him going to ££££ are being fueled from somewhere). So as I see it, our choice come May (or before) is to stick with the turgid, boring football of LVG or to take on Maureen and see what happens - you just never know, but I suspect the football will improve even if the results don't.
Well well only know if we ask him, but I'd be suprised if he wouldn't take it til the end of the year, as he's not earning currently, and we'd pay him quite hansomely. I think we could get Pep if we wanted him too, we can match City financially these days now ffp has come in, and we are seen as a much bigger club across Europe. I'm sure he's even said that we are his preferred destination in England
Even with Chelsea imploding it's looking good for my pre-season prediction that you wouldn't get passed the CL group stages and miss out on the CL places. LVG isn't a good manager and never has been, just a lucky one that managed in weak leagues, the EPL has too many decent sides. You're fortunate that teams have given yours respect they don't deserve, if more teams had had a go you would be mid-table. You need to spend, wh9ich is quite ironic considering the amount of money spent since Moyes was given the boot, yet he's failed to bother trying to replace the player you miss the most (imo) Vidic, much like Wenger still hasn't bothered replacing Viera properly.
It's safe to say that any PL table where West Ham isnt in the bottom 3, is a pretty mediocre one, with not many decent sides to be fair.
Other than you, UIR (who lives in some completely different universe, where LVG is a master tactician), I think most united fans would jump at Klopp if he was available. The only thing you can say at the moment, is Liverpools performances (along with Chelsea and to a certain degree City) are somehow masking what a crap coach LVG is.
Most would and most would be calling for his head within 3 months. Us United fans have nailed our colours. Fickle as ****, like all others. No shame in that mind.
Have you noticed the cries for Jose, or Giggs, or anyone from some? Then in a few months, when we don't win the treble, it starts all over again. Fickle fans. Fans who demand short tern answers, success, viewpoints. These are the fickle ones. Can't see beyond their nose and are willing to cut it off to spite their face. That is United fans, and all fans. Better to embrace it I say.
Explain to me where United fans have called for short term answers or for short term success? Who has said we need to win the treble? This is just made up.
I'll tell you what is fickle. Spending months embarrassing yourself by giving absolute support to someone and then overnight agreeing that it would be best if that person was replaced.
Eh? I just asked you to show me where anyone has said that. You're the one making these wild accusations. You've just been caught out making it up once again.
Did I? I think its a bad idea but there's too much pressure now. Just hope we don't regret it and that stuff continues behind the scenes. Manage to find any of those posts yet? I'm waiting. You wouldn't be chatting absolute bollocks as per usual would you Stan? Seems a safe bet.
I know this will blow your tiny mind, but did you know, that were not the only United fans about? Shocking stuff, I know. Let's give your tiny mind a few moments to dissect that bombshell. Right, now your world has been shattered, calling for Giggs or José are short term views with no real thought about after that. Calling for 2 years tops, Ancelotti is also, a very short term view and one that is unlikely to benefit the club beyond his appointment. Pep is a short term manager with long term goals but looks likely to go City. Perhaps Pep has looked at us and thought **** that, save myself a whole lot of grief from that lot. Klopp, who was the messiah to some on here, and would transform Liverpool, hasn't. Infact he's worse than Rodgers. O have seen some claim its the players fault but let me stop those people, right there. Its never the players fault, apparently. According to some, players have no responsibility. So Klopp, the failure he has been, can't be the messiah anymore. That would be you BTW, weekly. I give whoever comes in next, 3 months before the first idiot gets on his back.
