WTF is going on at the club?Is this an everything must go clear out sale?? Are we going to have anyone left by the end of August? Selling the defender you called your best player & selling your top scorer is not improving the squad (which failed ultimately last season). Yes we added White but I'd only say it's strengthening if we had brought him in and kept Pontus. ****ing madness for me and we can't keep ignoring it by trotting out 'in Bielsa we trust.....' Look what happened to him at his 2nd season at Lille as this has echoes of that to me. Not confident at all for the coming year I'm afraid.

So Neil we are not a selling club well I must sat selling 28 players this window would appear we are and I still think Phillips will leave this time as wellalong with Kiko
Are we stronger than last season only if the youngsters come good otherwise we are far worse
Wakey made exactly the same point & I'll ask you the question that I asked him, which is "of the 28, who would you have kept, and why"?

Wakey has gone a bit quiet on it. I presume he's looked at the list of 28 & had a reality shock. We have sold no-one of substance.

Bielsa is now comfortable that the squad he has is now capable of 3-3-1-3, which is why we never employed it last season.

BPF now a Burnley player for £3.5m and bragging about his dream of prem football. Well pal you are sitting on the bench for a bottom 6 prem team but earning a higher wage. Bielsa got it right when he said when money is more important than football you will never be a good professional and when a player doesn't want to be here he can leave. Bye

Probably why Roofe will leave too because he has refused to sign his new contract offer and wants to be on top pay. A player who didnt make it at WBA and went out on loan without doing anything until he landed at Oxford in L2. he had one good season and we bought him but he wasnt that good until Bielsa got him. he spent half of the season injured but scored 15 goals, so thanks for that but factually not good enough for prem. Sour grapes? no like Bielsa I cant do with moaning gits

Much ado about nothing. Need the footie to start asap so people start seeing that the answers are there.
Its not the start of the season that will tell you anything Jock its Oct. Nov. Dec, Jan, Feb, when you only have 18 squad players and you start racking up suspensions and injuries <ok>
Philips got red in a friendly ffs luckily counts for zilch but it will count big time in the league <ok>

Doc. They both got fked over re contracts. It’s not just the money. It’s about trust, respect, what’s fair, feeling wanted. Club made False promises and fellow first team squadders are on way more money. Take your Radz/Orta rose tinted shades off for a moment and you might see that this breeds resentment.:emoticon-0105-wink:

BPF is going to a club whose coach turned two no-name championship keepers into internationals. Maybe that’s important to him and Maybe he wants to be where he feels valued. And yeh, I’ve no doubt getting paid better helps!

We played simultaneous games in pre-season, with a squad of 16 for each. A few u23s, I grant you, which would discount them in most teams. But not Leeds under Bielsa, where they're as likely to start as the 'seniors', as we discovered last season. So let me be generous & say 30 probables. bit more than 18.

And that's without counting the list of senior players who were out injured, btw!

Usually agree with you Doc on all your posts but I think you called this wrong
Did Bielsa sign Kiko and pay him top dollar wages who took BPF shirt and played like a complete turnip ?
If I were BPF I would want my shirt back and to be paid the same monies too
Did Bielsa sign Bamford and pay him top dollar wages to fire blanks ?
If I was top scorer aka Roofe and did the business I would want to earn his wages too
I think they just wanted to be treated fairly <ok>

just my opinion

I am talking players who can cut the mustard and win you promotion <ok>
why dont you add the under 12s and make your squad 60 <laugh>

I can agree with the second para, but most certainly not the first. I have no idea what contract situation was /is with them. Perhaps you could enlighten us with the details - but, please, don't quote the feckin' clickbait sites, nor even ITK journalists, for they are not a thing now with Leeds. Info is watertight at ER, unless revealed by an outside source. So, spill the contract details we've missed. What are they on, what's on offer, what do they want. Who's on more money? What false promises? And the biggie - what's fair? I bet everything in that paragraph is based on assumption, heresay & agent lies. Unles you can offer solid, reliable & verifiable information.

Are you saying that Phillips, who is on 10k a week is upset that Casilla has come in, and is on 40k a week?

They can all cut the mustard. Who do you think can't? Did you notice how many u23 players either played or were benched for the first team last season? You must also be aware that the u23s, u19s, u16 & u14s all play Bielsaball, so player stepping up fit in seamlessly. Name me one player (Clarke excepted, different discussion) who was less than excellent when stepping up to the first team. Clue: there are none.

You should be a politician. Answering a question with a question, indeed! Sorry, Matey, that's Chesh's specialist domain. As an unprivileged visitor to our hallowed site, you've got to answer the question before you can ask one! :D

Desperately trying to keep my mouth shut on the basis of wait and see what Sunday brings but can't help agreeing with your view.

We are too thin on the ground for my liking unless 2 or 3 of the u23s can make the step up and hopefully one of them will be a goal scorer.

Come on Bamford, prove me wrong.

Also worth bearing in mind that Norwich were **** at the start of the season but don't really want to go that route.
