Just to start

Rocky - You haven't lived untill you've tried Titanic Stout or Titanic Iceberg.

AJ - do we have to have Wood's beers? Canna stand em!!

Perhaps a clean thread with a good opening post might be good? If I have time i'll set one up...
i had a few titanics away at a boozer in stoke, nice drop of stuff

many thanks, manfeelings for the sticky, i must gently decline the managers job, as i can hardly do this from devon. may i suggest jenny!, matster, kds or even that prophet of doom what shrew.

pork pies, subject to the jennys! pie emporium permission, i would like to see reg mays pork pies on sale especially if they are the same as on sale in the 3 fishes.

cider, for me westons of much marcle are one of the best and fairly local. their 8.2% vintage 2010 bottled cider would have roland grabbing his bar stool. i reccomend westons rosy as well.

finally thanks jenny! for adding not 1 but 2 blobs to the loggerheads

How anyone can countenance touching anything that has been near Port Vale I find unbelievable. I would far rather go a few rounds with Rebekah Brooks. She packs a mean punch. Ask Ross Kemp.

we were thirsty after vale away and stopped at a boozer for a few titanics before the train journey home after a few of them titanics the journey home seemed a lot quicker

big nev is as big as his name he runs an excellent pub and brewey at the bottom of the hill in bishops castle. i think he closes on monday lunchtimes

loggerheads competition

where in and around shrewsbury are the tastiest fish and chips. i have tried some in harlescott. an italian name beginning with a , angelo's? they were nice but did not travel well to harmer hill where i was staying

Well AJ you should have recommended Britain's best cider (yes, actually got the award)......from Green Valley Cider. Available from Darts Farm at Clyst St George....I know the crew who make it and will happily bring some 'up north' for any interested parties. Certainly the best I've ever tasted.......just like the Otter Ale.

Perhaps we need a Shrews Ale Club.....that would need a sticky!

Rocky.. I was gonna say you're never my neighbour, surely?! ;)

AJ.. I likes me chips, who doesn't? I think you're actually referring to Andro's Fish Bar on Whitchurch Road, Harlescott. They're pretty good to be honest. As is the Bayston Hill chippy & the chippy at the Column, Shirehall. The Town Fryer in't town centre is alright n'all!

Happy eating!

you a bit upper class then jenny with a pad like that,we are like chalk and cheese i come from west london but moved to wycombe to get out of the rat race of the concrete jungle nice and quiet where i am now and plenty of room in my garden to chill out but nothing like your mansion:emoticon-0116-evilg

i have tried green valley at darts farm, it is only 8 miles from where i have been staying temporarily for 9 years. it is good cider but westons is a personal preference brought on by trying to stand still after drinking a bottle of 8.2% vintage westons.

metashrew i am all for a seperate shrews real ale and cider forum as a sticky. it would be unique on the thread and we could welcome guest ales and ciders and their drinkers from all round the country. what do others think and how about it manfeelings.

i see it now "the shrew and burrow real ales and ciders forum"

i have been in here ten minutes and no service so i phoned one of our barmaids to help out [NSFW]
