Norman Stanley Fletcher would offer more potential. Sell CJ and push the boat out for Jack Marriott at Posh.

God I hope you don't sign Marriott.. Not sure I could stand to watch a player we released when all fans wanted him to get more games, play in the yellow of Norwich.. Even if he turns out to be cack in the championship.

Even if we get pushed North of £5m for the 23 year old Posh striker Marriott if he bangs them in at Championship level that will double or triple his value.
Lower Prem sides won't gamble because it's too big of a step up and they probably have better players.
One thing we can offer a League 1 striker is game time if he's one of only 2 centre forwards

Or we do it the Norwich way.

Sell our best players, fail to get any decent players in and then panic buy or loan a load of ****e on the last day.

Like that Spurs youngster that's just come in. Remember Harry Kane?

Ok, he turned out to be an awesome player for the Spuds, not us though. Got injured and left us in the ****.

We've just sold Pritchard for £12m or whatever, then we get a youth player in on loan who is unproven in the league.

I would be happy to sell Jerome and Oliviera and buy Marriott and loan Cris Martin and still have change for a winger.

Perhaps other Championship Clubs should try the Norwich Way - it has put us in the Premiership for 4 of the last 7 seasons.

So for all us dumb non accountants on here , how much money did we generate through TV money alone during those 7 years of over achieving ?

I would guess it's pretty close to about £300m ?

Maddison was unproven in this league when he came to us. Pritchard was a Spurs youngster unproven in this league when he went to Brentford on loan a couple of years ago. Bamford was unproven in this league when he went to Boro 3 seasons back.Naismith was a proven PL player when he came to us, What are you trying to say?

With Maddison he came here from league 1 where he impressed in a ****e Coventry team. Played in our decent development side and won plaudits. He was built up to the point where he could be played in the side.

Pritchard had played in the Championship before we got him, Bamford every time I've seen him play has been **** and Naismith is more of an attitude problem as he see's himself as a PL player.

What I am saying is that when you sell your best players for decent money it's not unreasonable for the fans to expect the club to reinvest the money back into the squad. Not all of it granted, but at least show some ambition.

If we keep selling our best players and replacing them with unknown loan quantities we will end up in the ****.

What's so hard to fathom about that? We've been there before, remember.

I mean seriously, is there anyone out there that thinks what is happening at the moment is a good thing and we will end up with a stronger team for it?

Lambert, now at Stoke might be in for Oliveira? Can’t think that he will do much for Stoke, but £8-10m would see him gone. His mind seems to be in another place now, so let’s cash in while we can? I for one would like to remember Russ Martin as a genuine player - what you saw is what you got. Rangers would be a fresh start and a chance to perhaps pick an honour or two. Oh, by the way, with both strikers gone and at least £10m in the kitty, he might like to play a new system 1-5-5. This would save money on strikers and increase the January Sales pot to at least £20m. As the Dacia advert says, you do the Maths.

I take it you mean ambition t end up in league 1, as that's where we'll be heading UNLESS some of the sales money is reinvested in some DECENT players already playing in England - preferably in the Championship!!!

STOP PRESS NEWS -
Spuds are weighing up a £20M bid for JM. <yikes>
As long as they loan him back for the rest of this season.
